Brand new Luton van. Courteous staff and overall happy with service. One slight negative is their damage policy seems very strict. Fortunately I had none!

My problems started with the price.

I hired a van from Paul's vehicle rental last weekend. I only needed a van for the Saturday, but they have a strange policy that you have to hire it for the entire weekend. I could not find another place with the size van I wanted so I had to go to to Paul's.

When I went to pick up the van, I was told that if I want insurance for the van I would have to buy it for all weekend!! This is a massive cost considering I was only using the van for a day. It is obvious they rely on the extra charges to take the van out over the weekend. I found this very unethical.

I drove the van 181 miles and put in £30 worth of fuel before returning it. This was more than what it started with. I then received a voicemail this morning saying I have been charged an extra £17.50 for fuel. How could this be as I sufficiently topped it back up?

So in total the van has had nearly £50 pounds of fuel for a 181 mile trip!!

This has truly confused me as I am sure I hired a van not a Tank.

Please do not use this company!!!
