The borough council has closed all playgrounds, effective immediately. Please ensure your children stick to this ruling in order to help stop the spread of Coronavirus.
Councillor Charles Royden has said; ‘The council is keeping our parks open at the moment, to give people the space to walk, exercise and to help their mental wellbeing and we really recognise the value of these spaces. I would urge people follow social distancing guidelines and keep at least 2 metres apart wh...en using their local park, stay away from other people for yours, and their safety’.
We urge you to dig out your scooters, bikes, tennis racquets and frisbees. Limit your time outdoors and find activities that ensure you keep your distance from others. Stay safe.
