Very pleasantly surprised to have discovered this lovely eatery and it really is what Barnsley needs after all this time, I think it is even better that it is just out of the centre. The location really does work in favour for it. It was lovely to be welcomed at our table by a gentleman on arrival and told a waiter/waitress would be along once we had settled. It is very well set out with the outside dining and seating area in a lovely, clean environment and inside it creates an upbeat, sophisticated dining area. I cannot stress how much of a nice change it was to the usual places within the town centre. I love that the menu is simple with just the right amount of options where you are not overwhelmed with choices. The old saying ‘stick to what you know’ rings true here and really compliments the place. We had the Tapas dishes and they were very nice. The table service was good and a nice change for the area too and whenever we wanted an extra drink etc there was always an attentive waitress or waiter close by. It was refreshing to be left alone in piece to chat and enjoy the food and drinks but with staff ready to tend to you. Lovely food, cocktails and a fantastic environment. The only thing that we had to request was plates to eat our tapas on but it looked so lovely I could have dived in with my fingers and the only suggestion would be to allow room for serving utensils for the tapas which we didn’t get but this wasn’t a problem for us personally. I am hoping to get a small group together and hopefully return for my birthday in July for some food and drinks. What a lovely establishment!

Really nice today. Good food and really good service. The young lad that served us was great.A lovely place that wouldn't be out of place in the MCR.Thank you for providing finally a nice place to go . Onwards and upwards.

Reading all these low reviews does make me sad. I first came on a Saturday night, you was very busy we seated ourselves as I couldn’t see a waiting station. We waited for about 20 mins with no acknowledgement so I called a waiter over who took our food and drink order, after the waiter knew we was there he did keep on top of our drinks. The food was a long wait but my god it was the best pizza I have had. My biggest regret was that we got one pizza to share between me and my girls. So I came again today with just me and my friend again I sat myself cause there was no waiting station but promptly the young blonde lad came and took our drink order and our food. It came out quicker that last time but still as beautiful. I personally think it’s great value for money. Apart from the Pepsi I think £2.20 for Pepsi is abit steep. Maybe that price for coke.



It looks great and the food is amazing. I do feel that the staff you have got so need more training they seem abit shy and timid. They need to be abit more bubbly and upbeat and also I think you could do with a waiting station cause that way the staff wi know who’s seated where and what staged they are on for explain they need drinks order doing food order etc. If we just walk in the staff don’t really know what’s happening.



But again beautiful food! �

Lovely place , just what Barnsley needs , at last somewhere that makes a decent cocktail, pornstar martinis are lush , food was fantastic too , we had the goats cheese pizza & 4 tapas dishes ( one was the wrong dish when it came but they apologised & brought the right dish out as soon as it was cooked ) definitely will be a regular here ��

Great place in an up and coming location, went in Friday and Saturday, had a dark Brooklyn larger both times ... v nice.

Could do with a decent real cider or a real ale on draught but ya can't have everything.

Other than that top notch really enjoyed it.

After reading some of the reviews I wasn’t to sure what to expect but I have been a few times recently and experienced no problems at all. I am guessing the low star reviews may be down to early teething problems which most new food businesses Will experience whilst going through the learning curve, I can’t fault it though Gorgeous food really friendly staff would definitely go back �

We went for food on Saturday, the food was absolutely gorgeous! But the service was absolutely diabolical, we was waiting 30 minutes for our starters and then they came out and asked if we wanted our mains with our starters and then another waiter asked the same thing 10 minutes later.



After our starters, our mains came promptly. But a young boy, walked past us 6/7 times and avoided removing all our plates. So asked him for the bill, and then he brought our bill! Our plates where still on the table. And I asked for the card machine he then wondered off into the staff room and never came back! Extremely rude!



And then the boy with the broken arm was so helpful brought us the card machine once I complained the other boy disappeared And was very rude. He removed all our plates even though the other boy who brought the bill hid in the staff room.



I really think you need prompt words with certain staff, because due to our evening we have all decided we won’t be returning even though the food was absolutely lovely but the service was awful due to one particular staff member.

We have visited the last 2 Sunday the first Sunday we got free samples and lovely cocktails so now the full menu was up we came back but how disappointed we were. We went at 5 and there was no lasagne,wraps,salmon and burgers all of witch we wanted to try. After re picking we went for the lamb tagine and Mac n cheese. The tagine had 5 peaces of lamb and looked like a starter and came with nothing but a little flat bread. The mac and Cheese was suppose to come with some bread stick (stated on the menu) but when we raised this we were told we were wrong. We all were still hungery after the portions were that small and ended up at the chicken shop to fill us up.

All in all its great for cocktails but the food is over priced and small for what you pay. £50 for 3 drinks and 3 meals that dint fill us up.

Popped in for a mid week dinner..... The place itself is lovely,,,the staff are polite and courteous. I think the place would benefit from a more experienced older member of staff front of house. As lovely as they were I felt they were inexperienced and lacking through youth more than anything in customer service..... Attention to detail definitely needs addressing.... Was ok for a mid week tea,but would have been massively disappointed had I come for a special occasion...

Nice atmosphere however the management of the staff is very poor. Had to wait ages for service and the staff didn't know their drink specials on the menu.Whilst I appreciate this is a new establishment I do think the management need to train their staff more rather than shouting at them and lead by example with guidance. It was not very busy yet the staff seemed unable to cope with atleast 5 of them available.The food advertised on the menu is not what was served. Pie with cheesy mash and peas with mint. Both the cheese and mint were missing and the mash cold and the pie was average. For the price I didn't feel it was good value. I will return because this place has potential. The lunch time sandwich drink and cake deal is fantastic

Went today and the place is lovely and the young man that served us was lovely. That's where the niceness ends. We ordered starters and they took half an hour to arrive. Wouldn't have minded so much if I'd not had ordered olives and bread and the place was quiet. The young man who served us then asked if we wanted our child's pizza with The mains or The starter, I opted for it to be with The mains. The the manager (I assume this as he was the only one in his own clothes) then collected our starter plates and brought our daughters main. Our mains then arrived almost 10 minutes later, by which point out daughter was half way through hers. Yet another member of staff came and asked if we wanted anything, I ordered some drinks. 10 minutes later the drinks had not arrived! We had to call another waiter and ask him. No condiments were offered and No one came to ask how the meal was, the steak was very chewy and the wrap wasn't exactly special to say it was almost £10. As soon as I finished I went to the bar to pay the bill, the staff were all congregated around the till, one young waitress was moody and complaining that a party had paid separately! Stood there making no effort to hide her attitude about this table, very unprofessional. We won't return again I'm afraid

Went last Tuesday , the food was really nice but there is a bit of tweaking to be done for this restaurant , 1 -the service was really poor not on top of things at all the girls serving where really not with it it was like they couldn’t be bothered at all more bothered about checking Facebook than serving ! , guy behind bar with tattoos take my hat of to him he was holding it together and was really helpful had to send food back as it wasn’t done to which I asked for and the tomato salad I thought personally was a rip of ! Just a plate of tomatoes with balsamic vinegar on for £3 , the stake I ordered for what

You got wasn’t worth paying if it wasn’t on the offer I would however go back and try something different to see if any improvements have been made if not wouldn’t go Again.

Noone came to take our drinks order for a while, Food took alongggg time to come. Pizzas were soggy and garlic bread wasn’t the best. Not the best food at all to be honest. Severs didn’t seem to know what was going on, no one checked on us. No one asked us for more drinks. Even getting the bill no one really seemed bothered.

I feel like with better management and customer service training it could be a lovely place!

Tried to have food on Friday at 2.15pm only to be told they had stopped serving food and wouldn't start again till 5.

Called again today at 12.30 only to be told that it was a brunch menu .

Your website says breakfast 8 till 11, lunch till 3 and then dinner till 10 nothing about a brunch menu, so you can see why I'm disappointed especially about Fridays visit.

On to the food, ordered the Philly steak stack only to be told you weren't doing it (disappointed again) so we ordered two breakfasts and a sausage bagel , the food was really good but we had to ask for butter for the toast.

The waiting staff we very pleasant and also very apologetic and it is really nice place.

Think you need to update your website with the appropriate info though.

So after much excitment waiting for this bar to open what a let down it was!

Came on Saturday and arrived around 12.15 decided to sit outside as the weather was so nice, waited for a member of staff to come and take our order... and waited.... and waited.... in the end i went inside, ordered food and drinks with a young lady who didn't look like she wanted to be there.

Not a great start then to find my bottle of lager was warm disappointed!

Food arrived we ordered ham hock, mac & cheese.... we renamed it pasta & cheese sauce soup with peck! Everything about this meal was horrible, the macaroni im sure was just penne pasta with a very bland watery cheese sauce the best touch was the sprinkling of red Leicester cheese on the top! Ham hock was obviously meant to look classy pressed into slices which would have been great had it tasted nice but unfortunately it didn't! 100% disappointed improvements need to be made both in the menu and staff training, the place it's self looks absolutely gorgeous shame the same cant be said accross the board.

Went with work colleagues today for our lunch, ordered immediately and 45 mins later our food still hadn’t arrived. They had mixed our order up. Apologies were given stating ‘this has happened a few times’ but still make up for the fact we then only had 10-15 minutes to grab a sandwich from the local shop and get back into work. Will not be returning.

Visited for drinks and tapas Tuesday in the glorious sunny courtyard. So disappointed. We entered the bar and the two members of staff failed to acknowledge us approaching the bar, starbursting in either direction. I half caught the attention of one of them and asked for a bottle of Prosecco. The order was not acknowledged but after muttering between themselves a bottle and two glasses were produced. I paid, was not thanked or given a receipt and the girl behind the bar moved on. We moved to the outside seating area and a wine cooler was delivered. We sat in the sun and enjoyed our prosecco until I finished my second glass. As the last sip entered my mouth I felt something hard. A shard of glass was in my mouth. I recovered it and went to find the manger who inspected the glass. He asked what we had been drinking and confirmed that the shard hadn't come from the bottle or the glass. After some deliberation he asserted "mmm, that's not right is it". Erm, no it's not! Needless to say, we didn't risk the food and we won't be back.

I went tonight for the rump and red special and was really disappointed. I won't be having it again. The steak was not cooked as I asked, I got jenga fries instead of the chips advertised I didn't get any red wine which was also advertised in the pic. I then got charged £17.95 for sirloin. I complained and got my bill adjusted but not happy. False advertising. You should get what is advertised in your pic

First sight looked amazing good atmosphere sat down to eat 20 minutes before anyone asked if we had ordered drinks then when we eventually ordered food the waiter had to come tell me 3 times that everything I had asked for they didn’t have ... stood up and left hungry and disappointed ... sadly won’t give it a second chance
