Hey everyone... just want to give an update for people... we have been inundated with calls from people asking if we are open or asking if we will still groom 'fluffy' if they just pop him/her through the door and not come in contact with us ...
NO WE CANNOT... AND ALL... AND I STRESS, ALL!!!!! DOG GROOMERS WHETHER HOME BASED, MOBILE OR SALON SHOULD ABSOLUTELY NOT BE OPEN FOR BUSINESS
All of our 'official bodies' have confirmed.. we are NOT an essential business (although we ...are very important to your dog and you guys, we know that this time will be very difficult... it is for us too! But we need to be sensible and not spread this virus!
NO, DOGS CANNOT 'CONTRACT' THE VIRUS BUT THEY CAN CARRY IT ON THEIR FUR/COAT AND COLLAR/LEADS...
WE CANNOT GUARENTEE THE HEALTH AND SAFETY OF YOU, US, OUR STAFF OR STUDENTS AS SOME DO NOT SHOW SYMPTOMS BUT WILL STILL SPREAD..
We have been told not to leave our homes unless for specific reasons and this does NOT include bringing your dog to us for grooming... even pet shops that have groomers inside SHOULD NOT BE GROOMING ... even Pets At Home have closed their grooming salons within their stores..
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE STAY HOME! UNLESS ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY....
I will be posting some short videos in the coming week of home maintenance tips, brushing, combing, cleaning ears, tips for nails etc
I'll do everything I can to help in this difficult time.. BUT if we do not listen now... lockdown will be sooooo much longer.... and I want to get back to work!!!!!!!!

After tonights announcement ...With the greatest sadness and tears in my eyes.. WE ARE NOW CLOSED FOR 3 WEEKS (REVIEW DEPENDANT) as all groomers are not classed as essential businesses, we all have to close our doors...😪😪😪
We are booked weeks in advance... we will be in touch with all clients individually asap to move all appointments 3 weeks forward so that we can get you all in asap, providing the 3 week review is a positive outcome
... As you can imagine we are absolutely devastated but it is hopefully a short term necessity to help keep everyone safe .. we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your custom and hope you continue to come back and support us after this is all over ❤❤❤
I am here for all of you if you need any help or advice, please just message me and I will help you as best I can

WE ARE STILL OPEN
we have recieved quite a few messages today and last night regarding opening ... yes we are still working our normal hours at the moment..
Just want to say a huge thank you to all you amazing clients out there... this week was much easier due to you all baring with us..
... We are still open as usual after yesterday's announcement... all measures in places are working really well for us... including disinfecting leads on arrival and before departure..
Thank you for still coming and keeping us going and we will continue our working strict methods so that we can still stay open ... unless the government say we cant ... we will try our best to accommodate everything we can for you.

As the creator of the North East Professional Groomers Group ... a few members and ourselves are doing a collection of pet food for Hebburn Helps Food Bank this week to help with the really low supplies they currently have..
Please, if you have any spare pet foods at all, even just a small bag or single can... please bring it to our reception before friday this week.. so we can get as much as we can to them by end of the week... anything at all would be much appreciated...

CORONAVIRUS MEASURES...
We are doing everything we can to be part of reducing the spread of the virus!! We have a few new policies in place that we would like your support with: -
... 🐕 PLEASE ARRIVE AT YOUR APPOINTMENT TIME OR NO MORE THAN 5-10MINS BEFORE... this is because all dogs will come straight in and go straight in the bath.... although dogs are not contracting CoV19.. they can potentially carry it.. so to minimise our risk, all dogs will go straight in the bath.
🐕 DUE TO THE ABOVE, WE MAY NEED MORE TIME FOR YOUR GROOMS.. as you can imagine if people come early or late with dogs, this will have a knock on effect on everyone... please bare with us and we will contact you 20-30mins prior to expected pick up time
🐕 If you have travelled back from an affected country or country now on lock down within the last 14 days PLEASE CONTACT US ASAP IF YOU NEED TO MOVE YOUR APPOINTMEMTS ... if you have any symptoms please message us asap to rearrange your appointment.
🐕 We have hand sanitizer, lucillen spray, dettol and zoflora all on site at all times to keep the salon clean but will be cleaning tables and crates out before/after every dog to reduce any risk to us or yourselves so will take a little more time, again potentially prolonging the groom time
🐕 NAIL CLIP ONLY APPOINTMENTS ARE RESTRICTED TO 9AM OR 3PM .. normally we operate a walk in service but due to the above we will need to minimise disruption to services.
🐕 PLEASE BE ON TIME TO PICK YOUR DOGS UP... we have always been very relaxed for pickup times but to ensure we can do all of the above efficiently, we need you to also be efficient with drop off and pick up times
Thank you to everyone for your co-operation and we really hope no one is offended or inconvenienced by the above... we just want to do what we can to continue to provide our services whilst protecting everyone around us.
Let's hope it is outnumbered by cleanliness soon!!
