Come and meet Big Tod at Pets at Home, Burnley. Volunteers from PAWS will be at the store to answer questions about animals available for rehoming and to collect monies to support the pets in our care.

With Staffordshire Bull Terriers coming top in Britain's top 100 favourite dog breeds, we can, hand on heart, confirm that they are the most loving of breeds. Comical, full of character and just great fun, they offer everything required of a family dog. Unfortunately some of them are not treated very well and we see them come into rescue needing TLC and help to cope with life in general. DAVE is a gorgeous boy and one of our long stays at kennels. He is dog reactive but LOVES people. His reactivity lessens as he gets to know other dogs but it will require ongoing management and training. Our mascot, Big Tod, is looking forward to this year's schedule of fundraising events. He's been practising his handshakes, waves and tail wagging, as well as bucket twirling! Our lovely bakers are working their magic and preparing some delicious delights for you to sample, enjoy and take home. The tea and coffee will be freshly brewed and we will have our usual tombola so why not pop in for a cuppa and a natter. We look forward to welcoming you. Beautiful boy Samson is available for rehoming. He is very friendly and confident. He could live with a female companion rather than a male one.

Kane is proving to be the easiest dog ever .... he is a TRUE GENTLEMAN and has the most IMPECCABLE MANNERS. Nothing but great reports from everyone who meets him. He walks beautifully on the lead (not a sign of pulling) and is on the small side for a GSD X. He is so worth meeting and once you have you'll fall in love with him. He has been playing with Nellie and getting on well with all the other dogs. He is a joy and would make someone a superb companion.

Samson is a gorgeous neutered boy looking for a new home where he can be given the love and attention he deserves. He could live with a female cat. More details to follow but if you are interested then please let us know via the website.

However, please err on the side of caution and check your dogs on a daily basis if you use the muddy areas to exercise them.** A case of Alabama Rot has allegedly occured at Hollingworth Lake. good morning im nyla.. meron po akong adopted dog isa po syang 3months old canine .. naawa ako sa kanya kaya ko sya kinuha para alagaan.. pero di ko alam na ganun pala ka serious yung lagay nya.. bali pala yung left leg nya.. at need po operation.. i dont have 20thousand para dun. kaya gusto ko na lang po ipa ubaya sya sa inyu.. kesa mamatay si queenie.. kawawa nmn sya.

This is an organisation run and supported by kind and dedicated people. I'm proud that it's in Todmorden, where I live. I have learnt a lot about how to care for animals and give them a second chance just in the short time that I have been following PAWS.

They make sure they find the correct forever homes for animals. Got Tess from PAWS and with her being an older dog was harder for them to rehome, but I didn't mind, I fell in love with her instantly, she brought me so much joy and I looked after her to the very end. They do excellent work at PAWS and don't always received the recognition for their hard work and loyalty to these animals. So Well Done to everyone who help out at PAWS your Amazing A*****
