We just adore our biggest boy, Dale. Safe and loved, and safe in the loving care of the amazing team in Baia Mare. One day we pray that he will get a home, until then, he remains loved and always adored with the team.

At 9 months old, Max is looking for his forever family. Currently in a foster home in Romania with cats and dogs, (and he loves them all). Max was found with his siblings when he was small. He was adopted locally in Romania, until the owner gave him back as they moved away. Max can walk well on the lead, he is house trained and a very friendly dog with all people.
Someone must have a Max-size space in their heart and home?

He spent his life on a chain, his neck bearing the scars, his nails painfully curling under and his body in freezing pain with scabies. Through his eyes, is the pain of his soul that can be seen in their sadness.
Our respect and love to Valentina and her friends for saving this precious boy today. You are his angels.

"If I give you my best smile will you adopt me?" Asks Cliff. Unlucky in love and with two adopters changing their minds before even meeting him, we truly believe in his third time lucky. Our small boy is 2 years old, cat friendly, in foster in the West Midlands - and a fantastic dog. You really couldn't ask for more from a rescue.

Our dogs rock! Cara, Freya, Teddy, Nero and Alma. Clearly something is amusing Alma this morning.

At six years old, she has been saved from the streets and is safe now. She had a huge lump on her leg, causing her pain and discomfort. Thanks to the lovely team and vet in Iasi, she has been operated on today.
She will stay inside the clinic as she recovers, when she will return to her friends in the shelter and wait.
We cannot wait to see her soon as we fly out next week, and we really would love her to have a name, an identity. We would love to hear your suggestions.
... Saving lives... One dog at a time, are not just empty words.

A glimmer of what life could be like, and then sadly back into his cage. As James prepares to spend another month behind bars, we again ask you to share. In danger of missing this month's happy van, he will stay at the shelter, another month, whilst we try again.
We have all met this dog, played with him, lifted him, held him, fed him. Yet we still cannot seem to find this beautiful soul a family of his own. At 2 1/2 years old, we pray that someone will ask him to "come home".

Isadora may be blind, but her smile warms our heart this Monday morning.

Our neuter campaigns across Romania are not only preventing unwanted strays from being born and helping communities learn that neutering isn't mutilation... They are saving lives too. These two beautiful dachshund mix girls brought in for neutering were abandoned at our campaign. Now safe and warm in their foster home in Romania, our campaign will change their lives forever.
A huge thank you for your support of our vital work in Romania, as our campaigns across the country continue in 2019. It's the only solution.

Adopting an old dog is the most rewarding experience of your life. She looked in our eyes, then we had to turn and walk away. Don't let seniors die behind bars. Please.

Thank you to all the wonderful families and people who visit the dogs at Baia Mare. Socialising the dogs with so many people is vital, and enriches the lives of the dogs who live there. We are proud to be entering our fifth year working with the commited and loving NGO here - because all that matters to them is the dogs happiness. They are an example to every private shelter.

Snowflake is home! She will be staying forever with her rescuer Denisa and we are over the moon for her.
The vet carried out a blood analysis on her legs. Her front legs are very bad and she has poliarthritis/rheumatoid. In the joints there is no synovial fluid anymore - this is the clear, sticky liquid secreted by the synovial membrane. Synovial fluid lubricates the joint by reducing friction and improving joint mobility and she does not have the liquid anymore.
This means t...hat she will supplements for life for her joints and is not allowed to put any weight on. She needs to stay light to avoid pain. She is also limping and needs anti inflammatory treatment. Metacam and Condrovet medicine for ever.
Whilst we had over 20 adoption offers, we do not think that UK vets would have the same opinions on keeping her alive. We agreed with Denisa that Snowflake stays in her home and we truly couldn't be happier. Here is a little glimpse of her telling Lizzie whose food it is
