Sometimes we just need to cool down ❤️ walk in the woods with a few of the gang today!

Starting to get a little warmer today and tomorrow. Its important to make sure you walk early and later. I understand some dogs can cope with the heat, my black labrador is very rarely affected however my Springer is not a fan.
It doesn't take long for heat stroke to hit a dog especially if they love running around, living their best lives. 🐶🐕

In the club we host group dog walks on evenings and weekends, offer free advice, dog Holidays, beach trips, dog swimming lessons and access to the fully enclosed dog field!

We have a new member of pawsitively dog walking club this week. Say hello to Archie. He was welcomed into the group by Charles flat coat, Bentley and harvey labradors, Ralph cockerpoop and coco staffy. He had the best time ever 🐾❤️🐶🐕

Why my classes? I have a degree in behaviour and training, also regularly attend up to date education conferences to provide a high standard of training for you and your monster. I understand the need for having a puppy or dog trained to a level required to fit in with your daily routine.
🐾What do we cover? Controlled socialisation (none of this all dogs off lead running around a village hall class with some dogs feeling overwhelmed.). My socialisation is making sure your dog meets lots of dogs in a controlled manner indoors and outdoors, once dogs are confident the end of class can include off lead play outdoors working on safe recall!
Self control (getting your dog to leave your children's crisps they left on the side while they were distracted by Disney!)
Stays (the ability to put on your shoes without risk of a bull breed head butting you as your not getting dressed fast enough!)
Obedience (working on sits and lay downs so we can go the the pub and know our dog can be involved in our life without jumping over doris who is walking past with her gin and tonic... Double)
Recall (knowing you can get your dog back from Mr grumpy who doesn't want a youthful dog having a party around his 90 year old border terrier)
Lead walking (so we can both can attempt to get to the destination without a light jog or being a adult with lost dignity and scrapped knees)
Control greetings with dogs and people (teaching Archie that it's not appropriate behaviour to hump Lola even though she is the most attractive labrador in class)
The legal stuff (making sure your dog has its jazzy collar with important details on or what do if Mr grumpy dog gets off lead)
Body checks and grooming (getting your dog to allow you to touch their body without doing a whole body party and you being left confused on which part of their body managed to cause injury to your eye... You only wanted to make the bugger had clean feet!)
And finally making training fun. It doesn't have to be serious and stressful, or even anxiety inducing. It's about you and your dog being educated to start your adventure together.

I'm back at Yorkshire Wolds Glamping hosting another training weekend in September.
Meet like minded owners, go on nice walks, fun training session in a beautiful setting. Only 2 slot remaining 🐾🐶💕

Today I let otis puppy labrador meet some of his calm future walking buddies... I think he had the best time ever! All being watched over by uncle Harvey 🐶😂😍

Massive thank you to Yorkshire wold glamping for hosting pawsitively again for a training weekend. All dogs and owners did amazing, let's hope you all benefited lots from it. We also go to do friendly pubs and a lovely long walk to make sure your dogs are definitely tired ❤️🐾
