Losing a pet is incredibly distressing and often when it comes, even if half expected, its still a traumatic event. Having a plan with what to do with your beloved pet's remains in advance is important and can actually be a relief during a very distressing time.
Cremation means being able to have a choice about where you wish you beloved animal to remain in the long term. The ashes will be given to you in a container of your choice and you can decide, when you feel ready to ...do so, if you wish to scatter them, perhaps in a favorite location, bury them beneath a memorial tree or simply keep them close by in your home. The Rainbow Bridge at Raystede is a wonderful place of reflection. A place to contemplate pets that are still loved but no longer with us.The colours reflected in the water represent souls of the animals that have gone to rainbow bridge. This wonderful embodiment of love & loss signifies the animals at Raystede needing loving homes and those that are leaving this world via Peaceways having known love.

The rose garden and woodland walk at Peaceways is a peaceful, tranquil place to remember and commemorate a beloved pet.

Peaceways is pleased to announce we have a new transport partner. The Pet Chauffeur who offer a safe and secure journey for your pet to and from vet appointments across Sussex, are now also helping people use the Peaceways pet cremation service. Saying goodbye to our pets is one of the hardest things to do!
We know that you shared some of the best memories with them, and you want to say a proper goodbye.
As well as our cremation service, the ashes can be scattered in our Rememberance Garden.
... Alternatively many people like to take the ashes for scattering themselves, often in a special place which their pet loved.
We can offer you a wicker pouch containing the ashes if you'd like to scatter them yourself.
