Went to Rift for food Saturday afternoon, after hearing Tom was the new head chef (worked with him previous) all I can say is food was great, quick service, I will definitely be back, the place is slowly on the up again. Excited for the new menu.

Went in for some food; was suprised as i always thought Abacus/Rift was just for drinks and socialgatherings really but the food there was actuallu fantastic and made relitively quick considering there was a decent amount of people in.

Great experience/vibe and i am happy to see changes being made, as clearly they are making/have made a difference.

Rift n co in scunthorpe town centre is in a prime location to pop in just for abit of pub grub after shopping in the town centre. Bar and kitchen staff at rift bar scunthorpe are so welcoming and always give me a lovely service of food and drink I have never had bad food from rift the kitchen manager tom is an amazing chef who always cooks my food to a very high quality. I would recommend rift bar scunthorpe to anyone wanted food and maybe a cheeky cocktail with dinner or tea!

Amazing night, and Matt the barman was lovely and kept me company until my friends arrived! He's an amazing barman and made my night

After a bad experience here, the manager approached us to rectify the situation. We returned today to give it another go and we don't have a single complaint. The food was absolutely lovely, the staff were all very helpful and the new cocktail menu didn't go unnoticed. Will definitely be returning!!

3 meals, 1 gammon steak and 2 pizzas, all very good. The lady on shift behind the bar is always smiling and very bubbly which is nice to see

My friend and I both had the bbq chicken melt and it was really nice! Even better that it was buy one get one free, so the meals were £5 each.

We also had a dessert, a lemon tart and a white chocolate and raspberry cheesecake. The portions were a bit on the small side, and were a bit melted, and warm in areas. So were a bit disappointing. That’s why I thought 4* overall

Just want to say Thank you to Gareth and the staff at Rift for making the surprise hen night Sat night go with out a hitch!, nice food (chicken was a bit hard but soon sorted) helpful staff, nice clean bar.

Only issue was the varying prices of drinks - archers and lemonade £2.75 then £3.75??

Went twice in recent times to watch the England matches. It’s usually heaving for the World Cup/Euros but it was like a ghost town. We left at half time of the second game and went elsewhere (which was extremely busy) can’t argue with some of the drink prices, eg. Magners and carling but just no atmosphere unfortunately and they seem to run out of certain drinks quickly as well.

The menu when they opened was great and the food was lovely, now sadly it's like all the other pubs in town. Very disappointing.

We went for breakfast today Sunday 4th of June. We were there about 11.10am and the only customers there which did make me wonder. Ordered 1 large cooked breakfast and 1 large vegetarian breakfast. Tea and black coffee. Drinks came carried by hand in mugs with spoons in. Coffee tasted and looked like it had just had some coffee beans waved at it. Food took ages bearing in mind we were the only customers. Beans were congealed my which sausages were so over cooked I could hardly cut through them. This meant they were dry and chewy. For some reason, and I hadn't noticed on the menu, my veggie breakfast had bread and butter instead of toast, but it had been put on the hot plate so was warm and dry. So at some point the young man serving came up to ask the usual"is everything alright?" To which I replied no the quorn sausages were overcooked and dry and hard, and while I was about to explain about them not needing much cooking, he walked away while I was still talking without even an apology. So didn't bother telling him the coffee was like dishwater. Needless to say we won't be going there again for anything, and is probably why it was empty and another establishment round the corner was heaving.

Was going to try this place for lunch to day with 2 friends and one of there's baby when we arrived we asked for a high char for said baby and was informed that they only had one !! Ment be a family orientated restaurant...we all found the young lady on shift to be rude and unhelpful. Will add that tables around us was not cleared or reset will maybe try again when they can cater for family's and are cleaner

Sunday 4th June, as Bluebell had no food due to a flood we ended up going to The Rift to eat. 20 minutes waiting we were told sorry for the wait but it was the chefs first day, not a problem, 5 mins later food turns up, all day breakfast, sausages raw in middle, beans looked cooked for 3 days, hash browns nearly burnt, toast had never been in a toaster either. My chicken was no thicker than a slice of bacon and should have been a breast with bacon and cheese on top, chips were nearly burnt and salad had salad cream on it and not a dressing. Waited over 10 mins for a refund and no offer of a drink.or would we like a different meal. The waitress was very apologetic but thought at least the manager or chef would have come and apologised. Just shocking service and will not frequent there again😡🙁🤔

I took my daughter and my mum for dinner, waited 55 minutes for our meals and it wasn’t even busy. The lady came out with the complete different food than what I ordered.

After waiting 55minutes and getting the food wrong I had enough, she stood there and argued with me about it.

So I asked for a refund.

Customer service wasn’t what I expected as a customer.

Wouldn’t recommend this place.
