We travel from Whiteley, we used to use PotO having lived in Portsmouth many years ago, but since moving we have never found anywhere that comes close up this way.....and believe me we have tried lots in and around our area. So worth an extra few miles journey for!!

We have just received another mouth watering meal, efficiently and very politely delivered, bang on time and once again, so good, that we felt we had to offer a SIX Star PLUS opinion on the Pearl of the Orient. It’s so easy really because - everything about it is just superb !

Quite simply, in our opinion, it is the very best Chinese Take-Away food restaurant in town ! The care taken by the owners to ensure the best service possible is quite obvious to see and the food is always so fresh, so delicious, beautifully prepared and plentiful.

We could recommend so many of their dishes but could not close without saying that everyone really should try their amazing Dim Sum Dumplings ! Oh and the barbecue ribs are so good too !

We had a girls night in with a lovely takeway delivered from Pearl of the Orient. The delivery guy was very polite. The dishes were great, not too greasy or salty. Definitely use them again.

I've just had the pleasure of previewing one of the brand new dishes (available from Wednesday) for The Pearl of the Orient. The dish is called 'Hokkien Fried Rice' and it comprised of a bed of rice, a layer of fresh chopped veg, with pieces of duck, prawn and chicken mixed with a thick, tasty gravy ... and it was delicious !! I usually get the House Special Rice from this shop (because of the mixture of veg, rice and meat) but the owners asked if I would give this new dish a try ... and I can confirm that this new dish will be a firm favourite from now on.

I wouldn't go anywhere else. The food is always fantastic and the owners are always really friendly.

I love this place!! Great food!! Being single I absolutely love the option of smaller portions. And fantastic friendly service. Just a shame I don't live so close anymore

Had our first takeaway from here last night. It was the best Chinese food we’ve ever had. Everything tasted amazing, fresh, good sized portions and so much better for having no MSG added. Drove from Portchester in the hope that we could find somewhere decent and it was definitely worth the journey. Great service too and ready on the dot. Thank you. We’ll be back.

Called tonight and my wife is gluten intolerant lady on the end of the phone most help when others struggled. Food was best we have had you now have our business well done and thank you ... We own a tearoom ans specialize in dietary needs so lots of Gf people follow us on our face book page so will tell you about you ( Lauras kitchen Havant )

Best meal I've had ever. New to the area and fancied Chinese. Chose pearl and was not disappointed at all. Yummy food. Full of flavour and delivered nice and hot. Portions are huge. We had a meal for 2 with extra chips and couldn't finish. Will be returning soon! Thanks

We think Pearl of the Orient is terrific! The food very good quality the service is Excellent. My daughter always wants a "Mrs Green" when she comes home! I thoroughly recommend it.!

My wife and I just had the A set meal for two it wasn't very good at all not value for money the beef and chicken was tough and bland the sweet and sour dish and young chow rice was okay even the prawn crackers were bland this is our first bad meal from there in the past the food has been 5 star ,today 2star

Very disappointed tonight , food was cold and not good at all what a waste , wouldn't mind but we can't afford to throw food away,

First time using Pearl of the Orient after being recommended to me. waited 1 hour and 50 minutes for delivery, all meals were cold and bland. Very poor quality meat. Meals had to be heated up in the microwave before eating. Very disappointed. Could honestly say this is probably the worst takeaway I have experienced.
