Absolutely terrible customer service. Expect to walk in after something simple and be treated like a money pot. Staff up-selling has no limits and plenty of hidden mechanic charges.

Asked to rebuild the rear wheel whilst providing perfectly good remained of spokes after agreeing only some were going to get replaced to be unexpectedly charged for a whole complete set. When asking to replace any parts of the bike you're always advised to buy the absolute top end stuff despite repeatedly saying no.

In short, after requesting to have 3 things done on the bike none were done as agreed. Then after paying and looking at the receipt to discover several additional hidden charges for the work that was never carried out

After a second inner tube valve failure (part detachment) within a short time (the latest after 2 light road rides), I returned the item to Pedal Heaven, where I have spent over £1k, and explained that these did not seem to be fit for purpose. I was told that they could send it back to Specialized and after several months would expect an answer as to whether their inner tube was faulty or not (the valve was hanging off). If they decided it was faulty, then Pedal Heaven might consider a refund or replacement. So Pedal Heaven was expecting me to stop riding for that time, to see whether or not Specialized thought it was OK for their inner tubes to fall apart after 5 minutes... I had already formed my opinion on this and was disappointed with the unhelpful attitude. They said there was nothing they could do. I disagree and I am afraid I swore before I left the shop, pointing out that the other goods I had left on the counter would have far outweighed the 'cost' of any goodwill.

Top store - top advice, staffed by really knowledgeable staff

Excellent staff who are all very knowledgeable about bikes and cycling and who are always happy to help. Carries everything you ever need for riding. On site fitting room and maintenence area where you can watch them work on your bike. Also funds the UCI race team of the same name.
