Following his recent win in the Wessex League event in Reading (pictured, photo courtesy of Jon Fox), team rider Callum Macleod continued his brilliant start to the season with an 8th place finish in the first round of the National Trophy cyclocross series in Derby on Sunday.
In his first year as a senior rider and in a extremely strong field, Callum overcame being held up off the startline to move through the pack and spearheaded the chase for the front group eventually finishing in 8th place and just 8 seconds behind 5 times national champion Ian Field. It was an excellent performance and bodes well for the season to come.
The second round of the National Trophy takes place in Irvine, Scotland at the end of October.

Adrian has taken the Win at the first Nationals Cyclocross Trophy round in the V40 category, what a race! Well done Adrian from all at Pedal On!

After a few days recovery from the 3 Peaks Cyclocross Race, we can now check out the fantastic photos and look back on this brilliant event.
For the 56 years that the race has been put on, this year was host to the first ever Women’s Team Podium for which we are very proud to say Pedal On placed 1st and 3rd in! Sarah Barber headed the charge of Pedal On women finishing on the top spot of the Vet40W podium and 3rd overall in the female category with a time of 3h58m.
For many... of the riders it was their first time at the 3 Peaks and this was no exception for Kate Robson who had a fantastic time of 4h19m, very respectable even for a seasoned 3 Peaks racers. Hot on the heels of Kate follow a group of very closely positioned team mates, all finishing within a few minutes of each other! Extremely close for such a long race consisting of harsh terrain. First behind Kate was Tracy Bremner with a time of 4h33m, followed by; Lauren Cracknell 4h37m, Amber Lansley 4h40m and Cam Powell 4h43m. Every rider getting well below the 5-hour time that many first time 3 Peaks riders look to beat!
Sam Allen also had a smashing race in his second ever 3 Peaks and finishing 11th in what was a very competitive field, beating his time last year by quite a considerable margin. Adrian Lansley and Chris Minter unfortunately both suffered with punctures falling foul of the sharp rocks that litter the second descent, known as Wernside. Even with this misfortune and having to ride most of the 2nd descent on the rim Adrian and Chris both took 16th and 45th respectively.
This also meant that Pedal On took 3rd in the Vet 40+ team category with Sarah B, Adrian L and Chris M. A brilliant day all in for the Pedal On team, even with the misfortune partway through the race for Adrian and Chris. A fantastic event as per usual and we are looking forward to next year already!

Congratulations to all our team riders who competed in the iconic 3 Peaks Cyclocross race in the Yorkshire Dales on Sunday. Our women's team of Sarah, Kate, Lauren, Tracy, Amber and Cam scooped first and third overall in the women's team competition whilst Sarah took 1st place overall in the veterans women's category.
In the men's race Sam Allen led the team hope in a fantastic 11th place overall whilst Adrian and Chris both endured punctures on the second descent of the da...y to place 16th and 45th respectively.
Sarah also combined with Adrian and Chris to place 3rd in the veteran's team competition.

What a fantastic event! We would like to thank all of the North Hampshire Road Club, Pedal On volunteers and all those who participated to make it the amazing days racing that was the Wessex CX round 2 in Stratton Park.
It was a cold start to the day and torrential rain it was already starting to look like a cyclocross race deep within the winter season. Mud tyres were the go to choice throughout the day, despite the Seniors race in the evening being graced with clear blue skies. A fantastic venue that we had the fortune to race on.
Now looking onto this weekend many of our team riders are now making their way to the prestigious 3 Peaks Cyclocross Race. Good luck to everyone competing, and we look forward to bringing you an update on their result.

With the summer ahead to train, 6 female Pedal On riders have their sights already set on the goal of the 3 Peaks Cyclocross Challenge, hosted on the 30th of September.
To the best of our knowledge, this is the first time more than one Women’s team have been put forward for the 3 Peaks Cyclocross Challenge…and we ourselves are putting forward 2 full teams!
The 3 Peaks course tackles the three highest peaks in Yorkshire; Whernside, Ingleborough and Pen Y Gent and consists of... 38 miles of varying terrain, of which 34 are rideable. The course also involves 5000 feet of climbing. Breathtaking views are to be had throughout the course. However riders will have very little time to take in the views, as for large portions of the race they will have to carry their bikes up near vertical gradients. The course is physically exhausting and incredibly technically demanding. Not for the faint of heart.
Sarah Barber will guide both teams through the event, as Sarah is a veteran of the 3 Peaks Cyclocross challenge, having finished on the women’s podium multiple times, most recently taking 2nd place in the 2017 event.
We’d like to wish Sarah, Lauren, Kate, Cam, Tracy and Amber the best of luck in both training for and racing the 3 Peaks Cyclocross Challenge.

Visited Tuesday and got fitted for a new bike. As I was waiting for a refund from another shop to hit my bank account, we set the collection date for a week's time. Later that day the money was in my account, so I thought I'd phone and ask if the bike could be ready sooner. I reckon collecting the bike the next day tells you everything you need to know about the service these guys provide. Awesome.

Superb service. These blokes really know their stuff. Very patient, fitted me for the bike and even stayed calm when I got lost on the test ride! Helped me pick out some lovely stuff using the podium points too. Cannot fault the service - nothing was too much trouble - well worth driving over from Kent to pick up the bike in person.

Such an amazing shop. Lots of great quality bikes and accessories and the staff are extremely knowledgeable, patient and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble and they don’t push you into buying things for the sake of it. Picked up my new Cannondale Synapse Ultegra Disc today and Tim was fabulous! The Podium point scheme is second to none!!

Outstanding patience and willingness to explain in detail the answers to my questions. Time to setup a couple of bikes to "try" and the superb customer service on collection day.

My review like others before echo great customer service and advice from the team at PedalOn, I purchased a Giant Propel Advance 0 and also ordered some aero bars and extra DI2 switches and a ant+ wireless unit which they fitted before delivery, I had a tumble in the first week of having the bike and bent the rear derailleur hanger, the guys found me the correct part No. as I was going to order the incorrect part and they even sent it out to me next day delivery.



Overall I am very happy with the service and indeed the end product, if you need advice these are the people to talk to, they came back to me very fast with all of my enquiries and gave great advice.



If you are questioning upgrading to a Di2 bike then do not hesitate, I went out for a ride on my old Giant Defy 2 yesterday, after 5 miles I headed back home to put it in my recycling box and get back on my Propel, the smooth and faultless gear changes make such a difference to your ride especially on hill climbs.



I will be using them again in the future for sure.

Just purchased my third bike from pedal on and this was the first time I visited the shop.

I cannot recommend these guys highly enough. I initially placed my order online but I had a few queries on bike sizing. Nothing was too much hassle for the guy I was speaking too.

When I arrived in the shop I received a warm welcome. The guy who served me was exceptional... I wish I could remember his name!

I never felt rushed or pressured in any way.

I would happily visit the shop again even though it is a 5 hour round trip for me.

It’s an ongoing joke between friends and family regarding how many bikes my husband has bought, and inevitably sold, since we’ve been together, but never have I heard him rave about his, call it buying experience, the way he has today after buying a bike from Pedalon.



Despite the bike not costing a lot (so he tells me) you’d swear that he had spent thousands based on the welcome and buying advice from Matt oh and the coffee he was served by Andy (which was awesome by the way) yes that’s right a bike shop with a coffee bar!!!! Anyway in closing, he would highly recommend Pedalon and said it was well the 100 mile round trip and he’ll be sure to buy his next bike there also!!!??? Thanks guys ha ha ha

I purchased the Giant TCR Advanced 3 for my husband as a suprise. It has been a massive success and he is delighted with the bike. It is light looks great and built well all in all 100% happy. Paul has been extremely helpful at every point and the team around him. My experience of these guys and the company is a definite hit and would recommend them to anybody I know and I know a lot of cyclists. Fantastic service. Ordered some spokes for an Aksium wheel on next day delivery. Paul was on the phone regarding an issue with quantity, which was remedied very quickly and true to his word my spokes arrived this morning. Excellent retailer!

Fantastic service, we spent a couple of hours with Matt yesterday, test rode some bikes, asked so many questions and got good advice. There is no 'hard sale' in this shop, just lots of people who are obviously passionate about bikes and cycling. We've visited a few times over the last year, and purchased just what we needed, but now we are finally in a position to upgrade our bikes... We left Pedal On yesterday feeling very happy, with a receipt for the deposit on 2 bikes!! Cannot wait to pick them up, along with all the free stuff from our podium points!! Brought a new bike off these guys today - Matt was the guy in the shop that dealt with me — what a Genuine and honest guy with a passion for riding bikes - none of this bull shit sales talk and bike snobbery you can get at bike shops ... nothing was too much trouble and I left the shop a Very happy customer.. I’m not local to the shop I traveled 2.5 hours to get there .. was made very welcome - highly recommend this bike shop - with excellent customer service 10/10 ��
