Really happy with my experience here. Got a new Whyte g170 s and these guys really helped make decision easier. Really fast turnaround and ready to cycle this weekend. Only ordered it two days ago. Went through bike setup/ suspension today and overall very impressed.

Thanks guys James

I took my newly acquired old Brompton to be looked over at Pedalcycles in Ferndown as they claim to be the leading Brompton store in Dorset. Roger advised me that I should have a Royal service at £80.00. I also wanted some parts changed. I took the bike in on Friday and was advised that no servicing workshop would take place over the weekend and that with the new parts i.e., handle bar grips new brake leavers and gear leaver plus new mudguards, contemporary clip, block the cost would be £240.00 when I said this was more than I expected he said the bike would be like new. He said he would try and get it ready for Monday but might be able to do something on Sunday. and would phone me to let me know. I had to call up on Sunday myself to be told that the bike was ready this was at 11am. I was also told that grips and leavers could not be fitted as they wouldn't fit,. I went to pick up the bike the gear leaver and brake leavers and grips hadn't been touched and the new back mudguard had the same old rusty roller as when I broght the bike in. I had also asked for the easy wheels to be changed as they were old and worn, this wasn't done as he said he didn't have them in stock, which I wasn't told at the time. The bike had been cleaned but parts were not touched including pedals and other parts that were not cleaned, when I asked about them Roger told me that pedals and other bits weren't included although when I questioned the amended bill of £208.00 I was told £80.00 was for the Royal service that included the cleaning and that the parts were more than those shown on their website because of labour to fit them even though I had paid for a royal service, which was primarily the cleaning of the bike.
Overall I am very disappointed and for the following reasons:)
1.I was not contacted to be told that some parts could not be fitted.
2. I was charged excessively for a service that wasn't done to the standard I'd been promised.
3. Was told the bike service took all day Saturday which was improbable and that the grips had been removed when clearly they couldn't have been as they were exactly the same wedged in, as when I brought the bike in.
4.One brake cable had a bit of tape around it, instead of a replacement fitting.
5. I was excessively charged for a non complete job and not informed properly about my options when I had broght the bike in.
The staff were courteous but the overall feeling was that I had not received the service that i had paid for.

Great shop with brands such as Whyte, Scott and Brompton. Knowledgeable staff who give a fantastic service. No pushy sales pitch just good honest advice. Open plan workshop which again gives a good service. They even have their own car park!

Super friendly staff. Very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Excellent quality products and prices. Not pushy selling, just good honest advice and top quality service. Very attentive to your needs and wishes. You won't regret visiting them. We've bought lots of bits and 2 top bikes from them and will do so again without hesitation.

Popped in at lunchtime as I am considering a bike on the cycle to work scheme. Parked in free car park behind shop. Went in and started looking around, a very tall gentleman who was extremely knowledgeable, offered advise on the types of bike in my price bracket with no sales pressure but instilled the confidence in me that they would help me make the correct purchase. I will be returning to buy my bike from them.
