Pegasus Artistic Roller Skating, Herne Bay

A Little About Pegasus

Pegasus was formed in 1991 by Margaret Newman. The first session was held at Herne Bay High School, with 5 skaters who were; Alison and Stephen Newman, Fiona Goldsmith, Hayley and Larraine Irvine.

Our winged skate logo was designed by Margaret's eldest son Andrew and the name 'Pegasus' was derived as follows;

'Pegasus'
Peg - short for Margaret
A - Alison
S - Stephen
US - us as a club

The club grew from strength to strength and quickly expanded to over 100 members.

We have always had a good reputation for being a friendly sociable club and always have good competition results. We have had two Cup of Europe Competitiors and one skater compete in the Precision Team in the World Championships.

We have been responsible for starting many successful dancers, who have moved on and up in the skating world.

All ages /standards welcome - £5. 00


£2. 00 to hire skates



Sundays 9. 00am till 11. 00am (by invitation)


Tuesdays 5. 00pm till 7. 00pm (by invitation)
