Some clubs love medals on ribbons and some prefer the medals in boxes. Our classic Petanque Medals are available in Gold, Silver and bronze. They measure 56mm diameter with an embossed petanque scene centre in two different designs. One for singles and shooting and one for doubles and triples presentations.

Leisure boule from China and the Far East have always been criticised for poor finish and chrome splinters cutting players hands. Generally they weigh 720 to 730 grams but tend to vary in weight. The reason? They are filled with soil, gravel and anything else that can be packed in to add weight. Total steel weight 340 grams. How do we know this? Well, we had a little look inside one !!!!!!!! At least we have a new ashtray now.

It is not all about Competition boule here at Pen-Y-Coed petanque. Obut have produced some very serious leisure boule in the past and now they have moved to Stainless steel on all their leisure boule both for adult and juniors. We have included a photograph comparing a new Stainless steel leisure boule and a cheap chrome plate alternative. Both look nice when they are new but the cheap chrome plate one will eventually peel off in razor sharp shards. That will ruin any picnic ...or beach party.
