Penguins Childcare

This morning we all went on a rock hunt as part of Addle-Stones. The children hid the rocks at the top and we found the one at the bottom and re hid it. Happy hunting!

If anyone is looking for bouncy castles, soft play hire etc then I can highly recommend Antony at Bounce 4 Bounce. We have hired from him in the past and wouldn't use anyone else. Have a look at his page! Fab service all round.

Funky monsters made by blowing paint through straws!

When I collected my mindee from nursery and she proudly presented me with this beautiful painting of me! It's now on display in the dining room for all to see 😍 I love it!

Following with a child's interests, She made a beautiful dream catcher with butterflies. All done independently by my 4 year old mindee, who has been with me almost 4 years! 😍

This week we have been pirates! The children made some lovely hat's, telescopes and flags, pirate sticker pictures, made a treasure map, and had a treasure hunt around the garden! It's been great fun! **Disclaimer: The child in the picture is my daughter not a minded child!

For anyone with children at school or nursery, these are fab! My daughter has one on her book bag and it makes everything so much easier! I just thought some of you might like to have a look. I cant recommend them enough!

Just a few things that we have been getting up to recently. As well as visits to the park, water play, toddler groups and paddling pool fun! It's berm a busy few weeks! 😁⛱🍦🌞

Today was the turn of two of my other mindees to make pizza! They loved making, and eating, them.

Tonight the children made their own pizzas! The two 4 year olds did it completely independently and certainly enjoyed eating it afterwards! Yummy!

Summer, so far.... 🌞🍦🍡⛱
This theme will continue until the end of the school summer holidays.

We practised using our fine motor skills to thread various sized beads and cereal onto coloured wooden matchsticks. This also helped our maths and language skills by talking about sizes, shapes, colours and by counting.

We have been experimenting with tape resist painting!
The children really enjoyed painting over the tape and then pulling it off! The children then extended their learning by using tape to create their own pictures.
I love how these turned out but most importantly how much fun the children had creating their works of art!

Today we read this fab story and the children loved it. So much so that we re created the story in the garden with a toy each that they chose. The children enjoyed it so much that we extended it by changing toys and obstacles that we might come across in the story, the slide became a waterfall and the see saw was a mountain etc. What a lovely way to end the week! 😁

Bugs and birthdays 🕷🎂

Kathryn has been looking after my 2 and a half year old daughter on a full time basis for the last 18 months and she is fantastic. I could not recommend her more highly. Celeste loves going there every day and I know she is well looked after, is constantly learning new things and most importantly having lots of fun!

Kathryn has been a friend of our family for over a decade now. She often looked after both of my children at school events where she managed the creche and many times after school. I would trust Kathryn with minding my children day and night and feel that you would have to travel a very long way to find childcare like it.
