After almost 29 years, Crew Manager Pete Barnes is tonight embarking on his final drill session, and hanging up his fire tunic once and for all!
It goes without saying, a BIG thank you, for the massive commitment and dedication you have shown throughout your career. You are a true legend, gent and friend.

We are currently tackling approximately 50m x 50m of heathland adjacent to Hornthwaite Hill Road in Thurlstone...
... There is no access up Hornthwaite Hill at this time due to our fire appliances.

Last night we were mobilised to a car fire near the quarry on High Bank Lane, Millhouse Green.
... On arrival a Blue Landrover Discovery was found well alight. Crews spent a considerable time trying to access the fire due to its location. A Firefighter in Breathing Apparatus (BA) used a hosereel jet to extinguished the fire.
Police have been notified of this incident.

🔥INCIDENT 29/1/2018 💥
Building fire, The Spar, High Street, Penistone.
3 pumps are currently in attendance at The Spar, Penistone extinguishing a significant fire involving the shop’s store room.
... 4 crews wearing Breathing Apparatus using 3 Main Jets have now got the fire under control.
There are no reported injuries, and the cause of the blaze has not yet been established.

🔥INCIDENT-HOUSE FIRE PERSONS REPORTED🔥
Shortly after 21:30 last night, we were mobilised along with appliances from Barnsley, Cudworth and Tankersley to a fire in a domestic building persons reported, located on Clarendon Street, Barnsley. Sadly a man has died following this fire.
