Pennie'S Childminding

Well, it was my last day on Friday with some sad goodbyes, and I'll be moving on to pastures new in the near future. A big thank you again to all who have given me their support and business over the past few years, and I hope to keep in touch with you all.
So, sad to say - we are now CLOSED FOR BUSINESS! :(

Half term next week - our last week! We will be closed on Monday for the bank holiday; Tuesday we will be heading down to Cusworth Hall for an activity session; Thursday we'll be at Sandall Beat Centre for some stick crafts; and on Friday we shall be heading to the fair for a final fun-filled day!

A reminder to parents that Hatchell Wood is closed on Thursday and Friday - please contact me should you require any additional hours for these days.
Also, next week is half term, with a Bank Holiday on Monday (for which we will be closed). We will then be closing our doors at the end of half term, 30th May.

With only two weeks to go until we close, I'm now starting to look at selling some of the bits I have collected, including car seats, pushchairs, highchairs, and lots of toys and books. Anyone who would like to buy them, please get in touch

Just seen this, and by coincidence this is something we're doing with the little ones already! We put some red food colouring in our water yesterday, and you can already see the colour coming in to the petals!

Good afternoon everyone.
It's been a difficult few months for me recently, with families expanding and needing to leave because of that, coupled with very few enquiries about childcare coming in, and no permanent new starters. As such, I have had to think about the impact this is having on my personal situation, and have taken the very difficult decision to close the setting.
I have loved being a childminder, getting to know families and working alongside them to provide t...he best outcomes for children. I know that nothing will beat seeing a child accomplish something for the first time, and knowing that I had a hand in that - or being able to take my work outdoors in good weather ;) Closing the business is something that I have worked against very hard in recent months, and it is unfortunate, but it seems it is now unavoidable.
I will, of course, continue to keep in touch with the wonderful families that have been with me through the past few years, and will certainly never forget any of the wonderful, and very individual, characters that myself, and my own family, came to know and care for.
I'm currently working through my notice period with my remaining families, so will be around for a few weeks yet! My last day is scheduled to be Friday 30th May.
Thank you to everyone for all of your support over these past years, it has, and will continue to be, greatly appreciated.
