Pennies Day Nurseries

Today at Hockers Lane we have been celebrating Christmas by having a party. We have had lots of fun dancing with pom poms and balloons before enjoying a delicious party tea. Ryan our Chef has made a lovely Christmas tea with yummy Christmas tree biscuits. Thank you Ryan! It was delicious!
We also had a special visit from Santa. Photos to follow on Monday.

From toys to best wishes, dreams and hopes for 2019. Pennies would like to thank all our families for filling our wishing tree with magical wishes. We hope Father Christmas has stopped by to have a look too!

It was a magical day for all the children at Newnham Court today as Father Christmas came to visit. Everyone enjoyed their early Christmas present and made sure he knew exactly what they had all wished for. Father Christmas even got a last minute letter which he will now be rushing back to the North Pole to ensure everything is ready for Christmas Eve.

The Mini Pre-school children at Hockers Lane have been busy constructing their very own gingerbread house today. Look how fantastic it looks... and it's still standing!

Thank you to everyone who supported our Christmas jumper day at Newnham Court. We raised a super £100 for 'Save the Children'!

Preschool have had a lovely afternoon showing our families their Christmas nativity! Well done to all involved!

We've been using pennies since 2011 - from baby care to kids club, and we still wouldn't put our girls anywhere else. They are happy, safe and successful in pennies' care. Simply, we couldn't ask for more than that.

Outstanding care & education at Pennies �

Our son joined Pennies Hockers Lane just after Easter 2016 and we can't fault them at all. He has thrived and grown so much thanks to the care and learning they have given him. Would highly recommend Pennies to anyone. He has loved his time here, shame it has come to end but school beckons and he is now ready for the next chapter in his life. Massive thank you to all who have helped/looked after him for his time here �

Our daughter has been at Pennies since she was 2 1/2 and settled in so quickly. She has always enjoyed attending and she progressed from two mornings initially to three full days prior to school starting. She now attends PKC holiday club, is due to start two afternoons of after school club in a few weeks time and she's ever so comfortable within the setting.

Pennies has been well run throughout and is staffed with a team of superstars who always have the children's best interests at heart. Even from the first few trial visits I always knew my daughter was safe and well cared for which allowed me to focus on work when I needed to. Anyone will tell you that our daughter is confident and I think some of that comes from being so settled at Pennies and by them helping us to develop her independence over the years. I'd recommend Pennies and PKC to anyone.

Our daughter has attended Pennies since she was 1 year old. She now attends the after school club. She loves the varied activities & the staff are friendly & great with the kids.

My son Henry is now 12 and was at Pennies from 3 months until he was 4 years. He still speaks about Pennies even now and I can highly recommend to anyone. Pennies is a family environment and all the girls make the childcare of each individual child their priority. Henry left to start school , a very confident, happy little boy. Five stars definitely.

My daughter loves it at pennies and being an anxious mummy of her taking the next step to nursery they put my mind at instant ease. With friendly, professional staff who really have the children's needs at heart. They go above and beyond and really prepare children for starting school too, I will definitely feel less anxious about my daughter starting school now after all the work pennies has done to help her to grow.

My daughter has been attending the nursery since September 2017. I haven’t been able to fault it and I was very nervous about sending my child to a nursery! The staff are lovely, they take time to get to know your child and I feel confident that she is safe and happy there. I love how they update her Tapestry profile with photos of activities she is doing. I love that I get to attend parents evenings and I just adore the little things she makes and brings home with her �

My daughter has been attending pennies for nearly a year since she was 9 months old. She settled in so quickly the girls in babycare are like loving aunts to her, she's just about to move up to the next room and I feel so emotional about her leaving them but I know she will settle quickly in her new room. I couldn't wish for anywhere better to send her, she loves her three days a week spent at pennies.

I was more than happy leaving my daughter in very capable hands of the excellent staff at pennies, she was always looking forward to her next visit which made me feel at ease leaving her there!

I can’t believe my Gorgeous girl started at Pennies Nursery 2 Years ago! � I couldn’t asked for her to attend a better place, everyone is amazing and have helped her to become such an amazing little character who’s makes me laugh every day. She has learnt so much and developed so well all thanks to the staff at Pennies. Looking forward to sending in Summer’s baby sister next year and watching her grow

Both of my children went to Pennies, my daughter from ages 18m to 4 years old and my son from 6m to 3 years old. We had experience with another nursery in the area and it was ok, but when we moved our daughter into Pennies we realised just how much better it was. The rooms are big and bright with lots of toys and activities; the outdoor space is also big and secure with lots for the children to do. There are plenty of staff, all exceptionally professional, friendly and above all excellent at making my two very different children feel welcome and part of the group. When we dropped the children off in the morning the staff were attentive to our and the children’s needs. The children would happily run in and get involved in the breakfast routine. On collection later they were always happy and knackered from all the activities. A member of staff in that room would always take the time to give us a full debrief about our child’s day outlining what they had done, what they had eaten, if they had slept and any other points of interest. In the time that my children went to Pennies I always felt they were in safe hands and that their days were structured with fun, educational and social activities. The activities advanced and challenged the children as they grew older. I have no doubt that attending Pennies significantly helped to prepare both my children for school. From a parent’s perspective, we always found both the hands on staff and the administrative staff accommodating and professional. We always felt that Pennies provided excellent value for money. Pennies fully deserves five stars from both us and our children.
