Well Santa was super busy today seeing loads of children, the grotto was a huge success. We had over 200 children meet Santa today!. Roll on next Sunday..... when he’s back to meet more lucky boys & girls. Big thanks to everyone involved, and especially to Skipton BID for funding the set up costs so that our grotto is affordable for everyone at only £1 per child (and that even includes a gift)

Holiday boats for short break and weekly hire for 4 - 8 people. Cray & Carleton - 4 berth boats & Airton, Eshton & Burnsall - 6 berth boats & Austwick - 8 berth/

In conjunction with the Christmas light switch on and Skiptons Christmas markets, In support from Skipton BID. Come and meet Santa aboard his floating grotto, be entertained with some jolly Christmas music whilst you wait. £1 per child and each child will receive a small gift, no advance booking needed. This is not a boat trip, just a floating grotto, however Pennine Crusiers will also be running 30 minute boat trips throughout the day (again no need to book) - In conjunction with the Christmas markets and Farmers markets on 2nd & 9th December we are happy to bring the Santa's grotto to you. We a re very much looking forward to sharing this event with our friends over at the Farmer's Market, so pop down and see what goodies they have on offer.

Nice Summer with no/very little rain...... Canal issues! That's right folks, as you may have heard the news reporting that the canal is closing? So we wanted to give you some accurate information. The locks between Gargrave and Wigan yes are closing on Monday 30th July due to the lack of water to maintain that stretch of canal. However, our day boats are NOT AFFECTED by this closure at all and although it does affect our holiday hire boats the canal is STILL OPEN towards Leeds and therefore we are not having to cancel anyone’s holiday. What an amazing day out. Very helpful team and great boats. We were in Rosie and we loved her. The surrounding area and canal system is stunning. We would definitely recommend this experience to anyone.

Went to Skipton yesterday as me and my friends like to see the sights the north has to offer. Came across the boat trips so decided to give it a go even tho it was raining. The guys working there were so friendly and helpful and were really chatty. Only £4 and you get to see some great scenery along the way. Highly recommend especially for families would def return again and thanks for looking after us.

Well worth £4 took my daughter, daughters-in-law and niece and nephew who loved every minute £20 for 5 of us I think was a bargain will definitely be back xx

We rented a canal boat yesterday with a group of friends and had an amazing time. The staff at Pennine Cruisers was very friendly and dealing with the company was a pleasure. The boat was very clean and well equipped. Highly recommended :-)

We had a fantastic adventure day with the children smooth sailing from start to finish everything was explained I can highly recommend and the kids have already asked to go again.

Lovely & relaxing. Lovely views. Staff couldn't do enough for you so pleasant. Lovely food. Didn't get the glass of wine as it said we would & sad they don't do tea of coffee. But all in all a lovely few hours. Would recommend it.

Fantastic weekend with friends aboard Carleton; a beautiful boat which was well serviced, clean and comfortable. Pennine Cruisers are a great company to deal with who clearly know their trade remarkably well. Wayne handed over the boat to us and was particularly helpful and patient with us. Five Rise & 3 Rise Locks were a great experience and an opportunity not to be missed. We shall certainly be doing another boat trip and definitely with this company.

Fantastic day. Everything was explained in detail so that even a novice such as myself could understand it. Do not be mistaken, this is no basic cruise. You have to open swing bridges, avoid bridges and other boats. The boats are clean and well maintained. The scenery is lovely with many baby ducks, sygnets, goslings and lambs along the way. I thoroughly recommend it.

Fabulous evening out on a private narrow boat for my partner's birthday. Lovely scenery and great fun. We will be back soon.

Excellent girls weekend away .. really friendly .. barge well equipped and staff great .. weather fantastic carn’t wait to go again ..

Brilliant day out and a great way to see the surrounding countryside. Highly recommended and will definitely hire again 👍

An excellent team who provide well turned out boats. We have used them for a full narrowboat repainted, dry dock, engine service and interior work on a new bathroom

A fantastic family day out. I hired a small day narrowboat for my partner's birthday. Our son aged 10 loved jumping off and opening/ closing bridges. We stopped off/ moored up and went to the White Lion. Lunch was lovely. We saw a heron, swans, rabbits​, tiny ducklings etc. A day where you have to work together.
