What a gem. The best Micropub I have been to. A great selection of Ales in top condition at very reasonable prices. Bev, the owner, is very friendly and knowledgable.

Well the runners, beer and curry club visit again.

Lovely venue, great choice of beer and cider and really welcoming.

We love coming to The Penny Farthing and regularly visit to sample the wide range of ales and ciders. The Penny is a friendly place that doesn't have the distractions of music, TVs or phones. This allows and encourages costumers and staff to talk to one another without having to compete with background noise.

Very friendly hosts nice atmosphere.so nice to be able to sit and have a chat without loud music or loud people A different evening will be going back x

The best kept Beers and ciders ... come along talk and enjoy ... the clientele are so diverse and happy to shear your experience ... try and you will not be disappointed

One of the original Bexley micropubs (second after the Door Hinge) and, despite the increasing competition and choice, for me still the best.



At the Penny you'll find a constantly changing range of beers of varying styles from every corner of the country, breweries new and old, expertly kept by experienced cellarman, Bob Baldwin, and served with warmth and enthusiasm by he and the lovely Bev!



Of course it's all about the beer but a comprehensive range of cider, good wines, fizz and spirits mean you're never without choice, all complemented by the Penny's unique table service for the personal touch.



Whether you're after a quick pint before going to Crayford dogs, a quiet session with a Picketts pork pie & your fave book or an evening in the company of some of the fabulous regulars, a warm welcome awaits you, whatever the weather!

Micropub in converted shop close to Crayford town centre. Served over 900 different beers since opening in 2014. Beers served from cold room . Table service by friendly enthusiastic owner . Bexley CAMRA have made it Pub of the Year in 2016 & 2017 .

Lovely little pit stop for a drink. Enjoyed the spice cider! Yum! Will be back!

Just spent a lovely afternoon sampling good ale ,in good company, with good bands ,fantastic atmosphere, I will be back, especially for a few more pints of Black Pig ale

Introduced by a friend, well worth recommending to strangers.

No music, no fruit machine and no TV. A real ale pub with a good selection served to your table also cider and wine available. Good free parking and close to Crayford station and bus routes as this is not the place for a swift pint.

I was rather impressed with this place when I visited recently. Not only a great selection of quality ales on but a sign displayed showing over 1200 different ales served since opening! Warm and friendly Guv'nor as well with complimentary snack bowls coming out. Top stuff 😀 😎

I have lived in Crayford all my life until 2009. I then moved to Canada

On my visit to my daughters this year we called in . What a great little place. Had a great couple of pints and a pork pie with dips.

A great end to a day out . Would tell anyone who would be visiting Crayford. Please call in

Fantastic selection of beer and lovely warm staff. Always enjoy a visit down the Penny Farthing. Will always bring friends and family, who are new to micro pubs, to the Penny Farthing so they can see what a true micro pub is. Keep up the fantastic work!

Cracking little micro pub, the usual ban on mobile phones and lack of a TV blaring out football adds to a nice atmosphere. The owners are accommodating and know their stuff and keep the beer very well.

After retiring from work, The Penny was the first micro-pub I visited. Even now after all the recent additions in our area (and I have visited them all) this establishment is still in my top three! I couldn't possibly tell you the other two - or put them in order - they are so very different. The one common denominator is that the beer quality is always first class. Long live The Penny Farthing.
