OPEN DAY - SUNDAY 23RD SEPTEMBER, 11:00 - 16:00!!
Come and join us as the club opens its doors to potential new members between 11:00 and 16:00 next Sunday, the 23rd September.
On the day, we will be launching a number of new innovative membership categories for 2019 and have availability in all existing categories of membership. And as a special bonus, all memberships purchased at the Open Day will run until December 2019 inclusive.

Not the weather that we had hoped for for our second 18th Hole Challenge of the year but the show will go on all the same!
... The nearest the pin qualifying for the main knockout tournament will commence at 4pm, with some earlier tee times available for those wishing to attempt to qualify. You can call the shop until 4pm to book your time or turn up on the 18th tee and we will accommodate you!
Due to the weather, the BBQ will now be served inside, still from 6.30pm onwards and priced at ВЈ5 per head.
And our karaoke hosts have been warming up all week, ready to put on a show from approx 8.30pm and give you all a chance to show them how itвҖҷs really done!

ITвҖҷS BACK!!
Following a great debut event in June, the 18th Hole Challenge returns on Sunday 26th August.
In a slight change to the first event, entry into the nearest the pin qualifying competition will be via a start sheet which will be available in the pro shop from tomorrow morning onwards, with entry on a first come, first served basis. Qualifying is between 16:00 and 19:00.
... As per last time, the top 16 in the NTP qualifier will progress to the one hole knock out tournament, with a grand final once again deciding the winner as the sun goes down.
A BBQ will be served from 18:30 onwards (priced at ВЈ5 per head, payable on the night) and we will be entertained following play by our very own Stuart Dix and his famous karaoke night!!

Great night on Saturday at our annual Summer Ball. Thanks to Saraban for entertaining all our guests - they went down a storm!

WOW!! Congratulations to David Thomas and brother Chris who completed their grueling Shafts and Spokes Challenge a few weeks ago, raising an incredible ВЈ1,503.40 for The Encephalitis Society along the way (almost three times their original target!).
Thanks to the members of PGC for their support and to Shaw Hill Golf & Spa Hotel and Leyland Golf Club for accommodating Dave and Chris on the day!

The Shafts and Spokes Challenge:
Next Thursday, the 12th of July, two of our members David Thomas and his brother Chris will be attempting a grueling golf and cycling challenge, raising money for The Encephalitis Society.
Dave suffered from Viral Encephalitis in 2016 and is attempting to raise funds to support continued research into this rare and often life-changing condition.
... Their challenge will start at dawn with 18 holes at Shaw Hill Golf Club, followed by a cycle to Leyland Golf Club for 18 holes there before they mount the bikes for a final time to head home to PGC for the final 36 holes of their challenge - with their day scheduled to conclude on the 18th green as the sun goes down.

A colossal putt from a colossal man!!
Well done to our own Chris Wilding, who drained this 20-footer for birdie to defeat John Shuttleworth at the first playoff hole and become the inaugural 18th Hole Challenge Champion!

Remember that BBQ tickets remain on sale on the bar, priced at ВЈ6 per person. Tickets go off sale at close of play on Tuesday 19th July and we are unfortunately unable to guarantee availability after that date - so make sure you act quickly to guarantee you get fed!!
