Penzance Backpackers Description
We are an independent backpackers located in Penzance, Cornwall and provide an ideal base for exploring the far south-west of Cornwall and the Scilly Isles.
Whether you are looking for sandy beaches and sheltered coves; the storm lashed cliffs of Lands End; sub tropical gardens; internationally acclaimed artists; the remains of ancient cultures; or simply an escape from the rat race, Penzance Backpackers is the place for you. Situated in a tree-lined road close to the sea front, with the town centre, bus and train station and ferry port only a short walk away. We provide male, female and mixed dorms, double, twin and family rooms. All bed-linen is provided and we also have a fully equiped self-catering kitchen.

Yesterdays post brought this poem from one of our regular visitors John Taylor from Port Moody, Canada. John is in his 70s and has been staying with us for many years during his annual walk on the southwest coast path.

My scottish partner and I stayed in Penzance Backpackers early this april for 4 days touring round to St. Ives, Cape Cornwall, Newlin, sailing the Atlant, by public transport and walking, also the busy lively harbour n' waterfront of Penzance - to get back every evening to this lovely clean cosy welcoming hostel, kitchen, rooms, lounge, everything working beautifully and relaxed; Host Mathew and family always most helpful and friendly. So had a great wee unforgettable holiday and strongly recommend Blue Dolphin hostel/ Penzance Backpackers / Kirsten, Denmark
I am not over-fond of hostels, but this one is not just great, but fantastic and I recommend it to anyone who is looking for affordable accommodation in Penzance. Thanks, Mat, for your hospitality!
