Perfect Stays

What a wonderful holiday home! Luxurious and stylish with amazing views of the ocean and just a short walk from The Scarlet Hotel. Who wouldn't want to wake up to the sounds of the sea in this beautiful bay. Our November family party at Waters Edge was absolute perfection!

Our stay at Penrich was an amazing place to stay the plus sides were :- a fantastic open living and kitchen area to be able to still be part of friends and families company , spending time around the log fire was a great treat after walks around the cost .
Gorgeous master bedroom and bathroom , all other rooms were sufficiently sized and lovely decor throughout , utility room was great for dogs and wet weather kit .
On the downside we had to have the cesspit emptied and the smell was a little less to be desired this smell hung around for a couple of days , the shower area in the utility room needs attention as the water drainage was very poor and could do with a bit of decorating as you can tell there are problems with this shower .
When the heating system is running the fumes are quite overwhelming in the back bedrooms and on the decking , the pump that pumps the ground water runs every eight minutes constantly and if you like your window open and are a light sleeper don't choose any of the back bedrooms .
Overall this is a lovely place to stay and a good location beach 4mins away shop 5mins walking Cornish arms 10 mins drive .

We recently stayed at Sea Edge in Downderry Cornwall. Downderry is 7 miles away from Looe and has a lovely dog friendly beach with coastal walks.

Sea Edge is an amazing luxury house and I would highly recommend this to anyone. The interior and exterior is just amazing and been done to very high standards. It as everything in the house to make your stay a luxury and relaxed one.

We stayed as a family at Southway, Bigbury on Sea the house was a "Perfect Stay" with beautiful views and lovely accommodation. We have stayed there before and will definitely stay again.

We recently spent a long weekend at Treasure House, Polzeath. It was actually a prize that I won through an online magazine but nevertheless, I definitely think it was worth the price that it is advertised at. The house had everything you could possibly need, a fab entertainment system and ample amount of kitchen utensils, it was also immaculate on arrival. The location is a little tricky to get to but a perfect spot, minutes walk to the beach and a few handy shops. During our stay we (clumsily) locked ourselves out, however the managing agents were great!! So friendly to deal with and efficient in letting us back into the property. Looking forward to booking a trip with Perfect Stays in 2018!

We house was lovely but we will never book with Perfect Stays again. We looked after the house immaculately but when the waste disposal in the kitchen sink blocked with a small amount of vegetable peel they allowed us to lose part of our deposit and did nothing to help us resolve it fairly with the owner other than tell us there was nothing they could do. Really pathetic given the amount we paid and the way we look after the house as if it was our own. There has to be a degree of trust here and they essentially put their own commercial interests (their ongoing relationship with the owner) ahead of us. Never again and anyone booking should do so with their eyes wide open.

We stayed at The Watermill which had an amazing exterior, private tennis courts and lovely owners. However the interior furnishings of the property were not luxury. (Perfectstays should be perfect and the word luxury on their website is overused and misleading).

Also, I agree with the other reviewers about the incidentals deposit Perfect Stays take, which has put me off booking again. They say they cannot keep credit card details on file, but hotels and other companies always manage to keep the incidentals amount blocked in the 'air' without actually taking it. We have previously stayed with Cornish Gems who always deliver on interior luxury furnishings for our holiday stays.

We really enjoyed the property we booked through Perfect Stays, but this review is about them.

Whilst the staff are polite, I was not at all impressed with their requirement to retain £1000 of my money for almost 7 weeks in respect of the damage deposit. Whilst this may be in the terms and conditions, I do not understand why it has to paid 6 weeks prior to the holiday. It is a lot of money to have tied up for that period of time so I was hoping for some leeway, being quite prepared to give them cleared funds a few days before the holiday. But I was just met with non-sensical excuses from Scott, the owner, about their systems and how it was the only way their accounting could cope. Anyone with a tiny modicum of sense knows there can be flexibility with any system. It just needs the will of the business owner to be flexible and helpful, which he was not, 'graciously' allowing me a few more days grace. He also stated they made no credit card charges, but when we came to pay, a levy had to be paid.

Then I wanted to know if I could plug in my hard drive to the TV at the property, using a USB port. No-one had any clue what I was talking about and couldn't help me.

Finally, it took them 6 days to refund the deposit.

All this time they have held on to my money, using it to boost their cashflow no doubt. I was very happy to pay a deposit, but to have it retained for this length of time, without any justification is most unnacceptable.
