We provide a bespoke fully mobile ecu remapping service to customise and tune high performance and every day road vehicles, This includes Car's, Van's and some H. G. V's allowing you to get the most from your vehicle in terms of efficiency, performance & drivability.
Whether you’re looking for more power or economy look no further than Performance Remap.
We specialise in car and van performance remapping, economy remapping and chipping. Most of our
work is carried out via the diagnostic OBD port of your vehicle and we can tune most cars and vans from 1999
onwards. Our service in mobile and we can come to you.
We have the latest technology from Alientech, AMT Cartech, CMD, Dimsport and Swiftec to name just a few
coupled with software engineers to write the custom file for your car or van.
Most of our settings files and data logging were carried out on a 2000bhp four wheel drive rolling road so you
can be confident of the performance figures were quoting. We can even carry out live data logging on most VW
Audi group vehicles on the road both before and after the remap.
Our remaps can be custom to your vehicle and take into account any modifications you have made. We
can remove DPF software, speed limiters, rev limiters etc.
Why Choose Us
Now the question you have probably asked is why would I choose performance remap when there are plenty of other cheaper tuners out there right? The
answers are below: -
There are three types of engine remappers in existence and we shall explain them now
Major Specialist Tuning Houses (Approx 5% of the remapping business)
Examples of these tuners are Courtney Motorsport, Powerstation, Revo and R-Tech, these tuning houses are fantastic at what they do but they only specialise
in one type of vehicle and are often more expensive than us.
Slave Tuners (Approx 90% of the remapping business)
You may have noticed anyone can buy an AlientechKess V2 off ebay second hand for less than £700, these tools are what are known as a slave tool which are
linked to one of a few tuning companies whom which they have to buy their tuning files from, you need no experience to do this whatsoever, literally anyone can
buy the tool and learn to use it in less than an hour knowing nothing about cars, they often make silly mistakes, have no or very little understanding of how a
car is tuned and can often not tell when things are wrong.
Being linked to one company is not a great thing either, do you think that 1 - 2 people from one company can safely tune every car or van out there? I know
they can’t first hand as we spend a lot of time fixing their work. They also only have one tool, normally a Kess V2 or Dimpsort Genius, both of these are great
tools but having one tool is dangerous, no one tool will programme every ecu correctly and recover ECU’s when things go wrong.
So how do I spot one of these tuners? Simple, ask them if they can show you the standard file for your vehicle and the tuned file and talk you through the
changes. They will not have the technology or knowhow to do this and remember 90% of the remapping business is these people. Worried?
Other Tuners (Approx 5% of the remapping business)
This is what we do, we have master tuning equipment including an AlientechKess V2 Master, a master Dimsport Genius, a master AlientechPowergate, a
Master FG Tech, Master MPPS, Master Galletto, WinOLS, Swiftec and ECM Titanium.
We have the software to tune all of our own files however we do not claim to be masters at all vehicles and do buy files in, the difference is that we can buy
tuned custom files from whoever we like as we are not linked to one tuner like the slave tuners, this means we can get tuned files from the major specialist
tuners giving you the ultimate tune and a good price.
We check every file we are sent no matter how highly regarded the tuning company are and will happily talk you through the changes we have made to your
vehicle. We can carry out Data Logging on all VAG group vehicles in addition.
To sum up we have huge experience, more or less every relevant piece of software and hardware you can buy and can pull on the major tuning houses for
support and tuning files. Very few can match this product and our tunes are so much better than those of slave tuners. We have full Public Liability Insurance
and will never walk away from a problem we have caused.

Treated myself to getting the stage 1 remap of 2014 330D xdrive a week ago. Great communication through FB with Chris. Easy drop off & all fine within 90mins. Step in performance is impressive, and having done 500miles since the remap, I'm very happy with the power/torque & slightly improved mpg. Will definitely get this done on future cars �����
Today Chris applied an FRF software reversal to removed the VAG "EA189 Fix" on my Octavia. In doing so I have my car back running like it should and couldn't be happier. Chris is a true professional and his knowledge is second to none, I'll be contacting Chris again very soon to sort out a Stage 1 remap.

Had my Scirocco 2.0TDI 184 remapped a couple of weeks ago - and it’s the best decision I’ve made in a long time! It was like night & day difference as soon as I put my foot down!
It was reading 190bhp stock (upgraded air filter) and the Stage 1 remap gained 32bhp & 57nm torque - now running a nice 222bhp & 469nm torque! Such a nice, passionate guy too which is a bonus! Top job, Chris!
Had my Golf V 1.9 TDI remapped here, very friendly and polite....Always happy to answer any questions. The car went from 117 bhp to 148 bhp, with the driveability greatly improved and no flatspot above 3000 RPM anymore. Overtaking is so much easier and no need to put the pedal to the floor for it.
I haven't done a average mpg reading but I have noticed that I need much less pedal work to get up to speed. And also that I can stay in 3rd gear a little longer around town. Both of these changes (provided I don't use the new power all the time) should improve mpg. I'll have to wait and see.

Had my Audi done a couple of weeks ago and Chris has done wonders with it. I know it's cliche to say but it genuinely does feel like a totally different car. The pull through the gears is amazing, the car just doesn't stop trying to go faster. No flat points and just constant power. Have noticed a slight increase in MPG as well which is always a bonus. I will 100% use the guy again on my next car, whenever that is. Great customer service. Highly recommend.
Had a remap on my scirocco a couple months back, think it’s time I leave a review after a good amount of testing , Chris’s remap totally transformed my car, he set it up perfect, he’s a very knowledgeable guy and does not rush his jobs, would highly recommend. Got a really good remap on my mk4, it had already been mapped but wasn’t putting out the power proclaimed. Chris changed the map and reduced the boost and bettered the fueling for more power gained! Result would recommend
Firstly, I'll mention that I've had two cars remapped by Performance Remap, both of which have been faultless. The most recent one (BMW 1 series), however, has been outstanding. Not only is Chris a really nice, knowledgeable and honest guy, but he knows what he's doing. Why risk going elsewhere when 99% of the time it's just a bloke with a laptop and an extremely limited knowledge of what he's doing to your car?
The increase in power has been given my car a completely different lease of life. The added horsepower and torque has resulted in a smoother power delivery when overtaking, accelerating out of corners and while simply commuting; I can generally sit in a gear lower now thanks to the increased torque. Fuel consumption has also improved slightly, however that wasn't my primary concern! A print off of my car's power results after using the dyno also gives peace of mind that your car is actually performing at what is claimed (the reason I didn't go for a plug-in tuning box from online...).
It's a no-brainer; nice guy, brilliant results and a price that doesn't empty your bank account.
First time taking any vehicle to a rolling road. Wanted to get some power runs done on my standard Clio 182. Chris was really welcoming and explained a lot about how the dyno process works etc. I was able to watch up close as the car went on the rollers which was really interesting. After the runs were done he explained the graph clearly and printed it out for me. All at a great price, will definitely be coming back after some upgrades to see what extra I can squeeze out!
Chris remapped my T4 and it made alot of difference! It now drives and pulls great. He spent quite a while fine tuning to get it perfect and its good to see it being done and improving with each run. Would highly reccomend!
Chris remapped my F10 520d bmw m sport last week and the results are amazing. As the 5 series is a big car I felt it needed just that little more power and torque, this map has done just that.
Standard 170 bhp - Remapped 211 bhp
Standard torque 370nm - Remapped 430nm
I've also noticed an improvement on my mpg, before the map I was getting between 38/40 (urban) and 60 (long run) now I'm getting around 42/44 (urban) and 65 (long run).
Would recommend chris if your thinking about getting a remap, honest bloke who knows what he's doing - 5☆
Chris remapped my A3 TDI. Really impressed with the service and the result. The increase in Torque is amazing, it’s totally transformed the car. The service he offers is so much better than someone who just plugs in a laptop and downloads a generic map they know nothing about. He really understands what he’s adding to your car and is able to tweak it on the roiling road to get the absolute best from it. Highly recommended.
Chris is an extremely knowledgeable and friendly person and I'm glad I bought my car to him.
First, he carried out a check for any fault codes, there were a couple of codes and Chris explained what was probably causing them and that he would recommend removing the ECU rather than uploading the map via the OBD port, all of this was done with no increase in price despite taking longer to complete vs a standard OBD tune. He ran some tests on the dyno to check that the car was performing as expected and was healthy before attempting to tune, once he was happy he removed the ECU and loaded on the custom map. After carrying out more dyno runs he was happy with the results and that the car was responding to the map as expected.
Chris supplied me with a digital copy of my dyno chart and a video of my car on the dyno as well as a couple of stickers for my toolbox/car, he also helped with advice on future modifications and what can realistically be done to the N47 320d.
The car is definitely more powerful now and runs a lot smoother and quieter than before whilst still achieving the mpg 320d's are known for.
Chris is an amazing guy with a true passion for what he does! It might be cliche, and what everyone says, but it’s honestly like driving a new car! Could not honestly recommend performance remap ltd and Chris enough. Will be back for anything I need in the future 100%. Thanks again Chris and keep up the good work ��
Chris has remapped a Bmw e92 330d and and then a Bmw f31 330d of mine, both with incredible results. Both are so powerful but also really easy to drive. No lag, no smoke, no peaks- just like Bmw would have intended. Really far exceeded my expectations. He’s also nice to deal with, professional and punctual. Can’t praise him enough!
