Please allow extra time if you are coming to class this evening from Barton/Luton/Streatley way. You may need to take a different route rather than the A6. Hoping that everyone involved is ok 🙏

Sometimes it can be hard to stay motivated when it comes to exercise. Particularly days like today that are grey and raining or if it's an evening you have had a tough day at work and just want to sit on the sofa. It's so easy to make excuses but here are a few ideas to keep you on track: #1 Put your workout clothes on. Don't think about it, just get dressed. #2 Write down how you feel after you have worked out. That way you can go back and take a look when you’re just ...not feeling in the mood. #3. Eat healthy food. When you eat unhealthy, processed, and high-sugar foods, your body doesn’t get the energy it needs. These foods make you feel tired, lazy, unmotivated, and grumpy. #4 Find something you love to do. There has been so much amazing feedback given to me in class this week about the change Pilates has made to peoples lives. Sometimes, Pilates has been the catalyst for people to change their mindset. I think that after one class, you can immediately feel muscles that you may not have felt for a while and this gives you so much encouragement. You can also very quickly feel your body start to move easier, release tension and definitely feel so much better in yourself. In turn, It can inspire you to eat healthier and be much more positive. All of my classes are so much fun, we laugh alot, people chat, make new friends..... Its been a fabulous week! ✨

The Mens Pilates class starts again on Tuesday 3rd June at 8.45pm in Flitton. Such a great exercise on its own but also massively helps with other sports. It can improve your running, cycling, golf, football, rugby and many more. It can also prevent injuries and brilliant rehabilitation as it develops often neglected muscle groups. This was my breakfast this morning. I am always looking for new ideas to firstly make life easier (who doesn't?!) and is also going to keep me full until lunchtime. Overnight oats is always a winner and another variation for a summer Bircher. Most importantly it’s totally delicious but also a source of wholegrains, fibre, protein, fats and calcium.
✨Add Oats (about 40g), an optional 1 tbsp chia / flax or both and juice of 1/2 lemon to bowl. Cover with boiling water, stir a...nd leave to soak over night. In the morning add 2 heaped tablespoons of Greek yoghurt and give the whole thing a good stir until it’s a nice creamy consistency. Add some crushed frozen raspberries and grate in some lemon zest. I also added a teaspoon of local honey for sweetness and hayfever. There are still a couple of spaces left in the Men’s Pilates class on Tuesday evenings. 8.35pm in Flitton church hall.
