I bought my sister a climbing rose for her back garden as a birthday present, the staff were very helpful in helping me (who knows next to nothing about roses) make the right choice.

By chance there was an event on the same day, so we stayed, watching some of the fun & interesting presentations going on and strolled around the immaculate garden area.

Well worth the visit!

We all loved the restaurant and service, the girls serving were very friendly and helpful and reliable . We just adored the garden it is really beautiful such fabulous layout so many fabulous roses and attractive architecture I. e. the tower and the arches. A really lovely place. GT

I have dealt with this company for about 25 years on and off and have always been delighted with their beautiful products and friendly service.
Their rose gardens are a joy to see, and smell, at this time of the year especially. Their telephone responses to my queries have always been most helpful. I am just sad that I now live too far away to visit regularly but thank goodness for the website.

I am not a gardener, so I did not immediately recognise the modest small signs beside the road we were going along on our way , out for the day. But it looked nice so we thought we’d pop in ( the words Tea Room had something to do with it ) . We talked too a lady on the way in if it was ok to bring in a small dog and she said yes and was friendly , so we went through to tea room . As we went to patio area (dogs !) I noticed some photographs on the wall and saw they were ALL of Chelsea Gold Medals they had won.

This wasn’t just a nice garden centre with friendly staff , but a world famous grower of roses , who were modest but OH ! SO ! helpful when we had a question or 3 ! They never made me feel small ( non gardeners can get overwhelmed ) or silly and the several people we spoke to were all amazing.

We asked someone about clippers ( I keep bending the blades) and the man took time to explain and show me with no urgency in his manor. We chatted and it turned out he was the General Manager. He could not have made us more welcome .

Very importantly , IMHO , is that a section of their lands is for the gentle education of children about protecting the garden & the wildlife in it. There is no “ £ / profit” directly to the Company – but to the whole community.

A beautiful , knowledgeable friendly place to go.
