Large fish was very small and soaked in oil. someone needs to tell the ignorant fish fryer who says hes the boss, how to fry fish. this guy probably makes lots of money catering from one off visits. il never eat here again.

The only fish and chip shop in mablethorpe that doesn't have a q there's your answer how good this place is always empty

AVOID This Friday my family and I were on our last day in Mablethorpe and decided to have some dinner before leaving for home. We decided upon Pete's as it was open at 11.30am there were two doors to enter one was open the other closed not knowing any different we entered the door which was open both doors had signs on saying open. Inside the door is a small partition to the left the man behind the counter asked if we were eating in or out I said take out please to which he replied you're on the wrong side for takeout this is restaurant I looked around and yes I was in the restaurant area but the place was completely empty I said oh sorry can you still serve me anyway just over this counter to which he said No you have to go out the door and come in the other one, But I'm only a side step away from the other counter the only thing preventing me side stepping in the small partition I said surely you can just serve me here there isn't any difference behind your area to where I'm standing he said he had been there for 18 years and that's how the shop was So I said so if I don't go to the other door you won't serve me even though the place is empty and I'm your only customer ? Do you not want to serve me to which he nodded. Disgrace what sort of Fish and Chip shop refuses to serve customers because of a stupid partition Don't they want money or customers. Some advice Do away with the door policy and the stupid partition and get on with serving customers you won't last another month at this rate Go to the OCEAN instead staff are friendly, polite and prices are reasonable and food great Can't comment on food at Pete's as he didn't let me buy from him.

Me, my husband, sister and nepthew went their our bill came to £23.30 for 2 battered sausage and chips, plate ov chips and a kids meal. And 3 drinks. I had to drink my drink out ov the can as the glass was dirty!! I couldnt help but look around after been given a dirty glass, the place was very dirty! I couldnt finish my lunch after that!! Will not be returning!!

Not welcoming, insisted everyone ordered a meal and wont allow one drink without a meal.

Looking for somewhere in Mablethorpe to eat we seen Pete's chip shop, it looked nice from the outside, but looks can be deceiving.

We went into the restaurant side of the chip shop, we taken our seat and the waiter quickly served us, not giving much time to look through the menu, but thats fine we usually just stick to the same meal everywhere. We ordered what was to be our dinner being: Fishcake, chips and peas and Chips, Peas and gravy, 2 drinks and 2 cobs. The waiter taken our order and we could clearly hear him talk to the owner about our order, which he said "is that all they ordered!? is there another meal!?" the waiter then comes back to our table and says "are you going to order another meal?" Theres only two of us, sitting at a 2 seat table (the table is dirty aswell) we don't need another meal so we respond "no" he looks at us as if to say "you need to leave" so my mother asked "do you want us to leave?" the waiter nodded.

We left without any food. This is the only chipshop which doesn't serve you chips I have ever known. You would think they would be grateful, there was only 1 other table taken, the rest of the place was empty as it should be. Avoid.

Absolute rip-off of a place! Make the mistake of not looking at the menu. They charged us £8.80 for 2 lots of chips and gravy for the kids…. REALLY???? The owners stood behind the counter barking orders at a young girl who was trying to serve people as well as clean tables etc. STAY AWAY.
