Pets At Home Eastleigh

We went looking to replace fish today...very helpful staff. Tested water and levels were wrong to introduce new fish so advice given etc. Previously went with our paralysed guinea pig. Again very helpful staff. Tried various animal harnesses to help us attach him to a small mobility cart. Personal service appreciated.

Staff are friendly but don't have a clue about any products except how to plug Pets At Home own labels. They don't know what's good for your pet or which ingredients are in the products. I asked a general food question, the young chap was so proud that he had just finished a dog nutritional day he said was run by Pets At Home. Then said the easiest meat for dogs to digest was lamb, wrong! Then proceeded to say that Pets At Home own brand with lamb was on a promotion. I rest my case and fish is the easiest to digest. They have a few discounts, mainly their products are overpriced anyway. See something in the town's pound shop, a week or two later it's in Pets At Home for triple the price but placed in their 'value' range, rip off! 1 of the only reasons they do so well is purely down to customer convenience, the fact that they're open until 8 pm. I abhor their 'doggy dress up' department, it's not for the benefit of the poor dogs but to pander to the whims of some owners. Get a doll to dress up! Same as their puppy section it's the puppy equivalent to Mothercare, everything's in pink or blue omg really! I've not got any good points. I'd rather support my small, local pet shop up the road. Extremely helpful and knowledgeable about pets, if they don't stock something they will order it in for you.

Staff are great, range very good and broad. When busy can have queues that build up.
Otherwise, great pet shop!

Staff can be a little abrupt and not very helpful. Shop is well stocked with a good range of products. Prices aren't the cheapest but good if you need something in a hurry. Animals appear clean and well looked after.

I was served by charlotte, she sold me two female rats and was very perfessional. She was smiling all the time when talking to me and even helped me to the car in the poring rain. Many thanks for your assistance.

Easy access to the shop friendly staff helpful and well lit. Good range of products for the pets in your family.

Pets at home don't abide by their own fish policy of 1 fish per letre. The tanks are overcrowded with the fish in distress.
