Who said you can't teach a Saluki to recall? Took me longer with Maisie as she never takes treats when out and about so had to use my voice as a reward. We did it though and I am very proud of her x

Ned had his pre-op check at the vets this morning. I was pleased with his behaviour and he allowed the vet to examine him even though he had not seen her before.

We are delighted to share that Puppy School, the franchise through which we run our puppy classes has secured membership of the ABTC today.
The ABTC is set up to try to regulate the dog training/behaviour industry but membership is extremely tough. It has taken two and a half years of work to secure this status and suitably qualified Puppy School tutors will now be added onto the ABTC's register as Animal Training Instructors - a stamp of approval which tells the general public that we meet the required standards to be able to offer effective reward-based methods when training both dogs and people.
We look forward to the day that the entire industry is regulated and we can be confident that anyone training dogs in return for payment is using only the most appropriate, scientifically-proven and kind methods.
