Good news - I have FINALLY managed to agree and submit my arranging licence application for the area and hope to hear back from them very soon. I am still very eager to get the area up and running. It has been wonderful to see the Oxford carer network grow under our new licence and we are getting busier with bookings - which is fabulous. I am in the process of working out an arrangement with the South Oxford District Council to bring carer's in from that area. I know I have had a lot of interest already, but we need to get the licensing sorted before we open to bookings. A number of people have asked me for more information about how PetStay works - essentially it is a service matching pets who need home based holiday care with the right family for them. Carer's get to stipulate which dog types they are comfortable with and when they are available to host them. There is always a meet and greet before confirming a booking so that everyone is happy before committing. All our carer's are independently inspected by their local authority and operate under insurance so that owners can have complete peace of mind. Somehow February seems to be unbelievably dreary. I sometimes wonder how folks without woofs to walk find the motivation to shake off the duvet.
