Philippe Rixhon Associates is an engineering office working on digital rights with creative enterprises, digital service providers, trade and standardisation bodies, law firms and government agencies. DUE DILIGENCE: we assess the data and copyright regulatory compliance of digital products under development in EU and UK media, entertainment and sports organisations, and recommend corrective or supplementary measures if need be. RIGHTS DATA AT THE PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT STAGE: we analyse and design the data processes and structures necessary for the monetization of digital media and the protection of related economic and moral rights. POLICY ENGINEERING: we work on the technical feasibility and implementation of copyright policies with national and international government agencies. In 2022, we co-authored the report on Copyright and New Technologies published by the European Commission. STANDARDISATION: we participate in the efforts of the British Standards Institution (BSI) and International Organization for Standardization (ISO) to standardise smart contracts and non-fungible tokens (NFTs). In 2020, we spun off Digiciti Networks OÜ, a systems engineering company, to design, develop and deploy an Open Rights Data Exchange based on our work on the Open Rights Data Framework. In 2016, we joined the Centre for Blockchain Technologies at University College London to research the applications of Distributed Ledger Technologies in the creative industries. Philippe Rixhon Associates was established in 1983. Over the years, we contributed substantially to the global positioning system, logistics simulation, next generation networks, computer integrated manufacturing, knowledge-based configuration and diagnostic systems, predictive maintenance, embedded systems, data mining and analytics, augmented simulcasts, online, mobile and in-video commerce.
