Phyllis Tuckwell is the only adult hospice serving West Surrey and North East Hampshire.
Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice Care Description
For over 35 years Phyllis Tuckwell has provided supportive and end of life care to patients and their families living with a terminal illness in West Surrey and North East Hampshire, serving 550, 000 residents.
Every day we support over 250 patients, carers and their families in their own homes, in the community, at the Hospice in Farnham (In-Patient Unit, Day Hospice, out-patient appointments and through Patient & Family Support) and now the Beacon Centre in Guildford (Day & Therapy Unit, Out-Patient appointments and through Patient & Family Support).
The NHS /Government only covers 20% of our costs, which means we rely heavily on the support and generosity of our local community. All our services are free of charge to our patients and their families, but we need to raise over £20, 000 a day to offer such an exceptional standard of clinical care and support.

At Phyllis Tuckwell, we believe it’s important to speak openly about death and grief. We provide support and counselling to families and carers of patients, to help them through the hardest times of their lives. Grief is individual and each of us reacts to it differently. We had a lovely surprise for Colin, one of our patients in the Day Hospice this afternoon, as staff treated him to afternoon tea (and cakes) and a visit from his brother.
They are both massive West Ham United fans, so it was only fitting that we presented them with personalised home shirts of their favourite club!

Over the weekend, Branston Adams popped into the Hospice to visit the team on the IPU unit and dropped off this lovely selection of sweet treats to enjoy - thank you guys! 👏
