Piccadilly Records

I used to travel all the way to Manchester in the late 80s / early 90s mainly thanks to Piccadilly Records. I have remained faithful to that shop year after year even when I started to work in far away places. They've always shipped records all around the world for me. An absolutely great Customer Service and the best selection of records in the world!

I have been buying from Piccadilly for a good 30 years. This is my first stop when I am looking for something - which is all the time. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and they have the best sense of Customer Service.

Good record store if you're mainly after indie rock / pop.

Always great to go looking for music. Great ambient atmosphere and always well stocked.

In this day and age it can't be that easy to run a record shop. I've never had an unpleasant experience rooting around to my heart's content even when the sun is blazing and luring you back outside.

The overviews on each release are incredibly helpful when trying to gain a real sense of what's involved and you can delve further online if need be. Indeed, Piccadilly's Mail Order team are exceptional.

Andrew, Barry, Martin, Matt etc. are amongst the friendliest and most helpful shop counter people you could hope to meet. I pray that the COVID-19 lockdown has been kind enough to them all.

Music is one of the most amazing outlets we've been blessed with. So is Piccadilly Records.

Best (new) record store in town. Wide range of niche genres. "Indie" or indie rock is the stock bread and butter. Also has a CD section. Online website is great for samples and ordering. Business shies away from stocking too much "pop" material.

Best record shop ever. I've been buying online as an overseas customer for years and always have been impressed by not only their taste (!) but their efficient mail order service. Recently I had an order go awol and they were kind enough to replace at no cost . Much appreciated PR. The best.

Great NQ institution. Lovely staff and their end of year lists are always fantastic for finding music you've missed throughout the year.

Good selection of alternative & indie vinyl. Great staff, no music snobs!
