Wow. Absolutely loved the food in this place. Don't live in London so can't visit again for some time but already craving to go back.

All the dishes I had were gorgeous and a bit different from the usual. The staff were very friendly and the service was great.

Highly recommend you give pickled Fred a try.

Went to Pickled Fred recently on a trip to London and loved it! Great cocktails, great food (especially jackfruit scotch egg) and fab service from Ben and Can... really nice decor and atmosphere - will be back again to try brunch �

We had an amazing meal at Pickled Fred yesterday evening. The decor is great and the candles and music provided a relaxed and cosy atmosphere. The food was excellent and really different to any other places in London. Everyone should sample the jack fruit scotch egg, roasted cauliflower and satay flatbread. The cocktails were tasty and inventive and the staff were friendly and attentive. Can't wait to try the brunch menu next *****

Visited quite late this evening, i.e. just before the kitchen closed, with a large group and they couldn't have been any more accommodating. Awesome food (good vegan options) and brilliant customer service!

Very interesting menu, excellent and the staff were wonderful.

Very difficult to maintain individual flavours in a tapas menu. The octopus was exquisite, the cauliflower delicious and the yolk of the Scotch egg slightly runny. I loved all of it!

Those flat breads and cocktails are to die for!! Super accommodating for all dietary and allergy restrictions (plant based and grain allergy gall right here!) Awesome vibe and even better crew.

Thoroughly enjoyable evening at pickled Fred. Unusual cocktails and they tasted great (we had to try a few!). Mouth watering menu that lived up to their descriptions. The jackfruit scotch egg and mustard oil cauliflower were my favourites. Very relaxed and friendly. Great service. Very impressed given it's newly opened.

This place is one of the best restaurants you’ll find in London, and I’m not just saying that because I grew up with one of the guys that owns it. The food is unique and has been flawless every time I’ve been, the cocktail menu also helps to compliment the food perfectly. It’s rare to find a restaurant that combines great food, great drinks and a good atmosphere/ambience but this is one restaurant that’s managed to nail it.

These guys are geniuses! I went with a group of friends for dinner and we all absolutely loved it. The jack fruit scotch egg is a must, as well as the octopus and the cauliflower. Moreover, the aubergine flatbread with the lamb as an addition is out of this world. The cocktail list is also very interesting- try the geisha's tipple and smokey goat. In addition to great food and great cocktails, great service, and a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Highly recommended!!

The food was so delicious and totally original, the staff were delightful and the venue itself is so well designed. So good I went twice in a row! Highly recommend. Thanks so much guys!

Loved the Jackfruit scotch egg. Yummy. The cocktail drinks were excellent. But the best thing was the friendly atmosphere and excellent service.

The food was impeccable- the jackfruit scotch egg is a must & made our tastebuds tingle..beautifully decorated with a great feature bar 😲To top it all off the cocktails are out of this world with mega attentive staff, who will go out of their way to ensure you have a great night. Stopped off for a quick and quirky mid afternoon cocktail yesterday...loved it...the staff are very friendly and we loved the story about Pickled Fred! Next time will stop for food...it looked yummy!

Really amazing food at this place. Inventive and so tasty, from the jackfruit scotch egg to he mackerel in red curry sauce and the octopus. Really good portion sizes especially the flat breads which we couldn't finish! Cocktails were fantastic too and on offer when we arrived for only a fiver. Thoroughly recommend it.

Only in London for a few days and happened to come across this place! What a spot! The service was so good and everyone so happy and friendly. Food delicious...the Halloumi fries are to die for!!! As for my flat bread ssssoooo good already thinking of ways to replicate it back home in Dublin. Cocktails again amazing we had an apple spritzer i think anyway it was so good had seconds and thirds! Love it right down to the orange segment ...v tasty! Cannot wait for my next trip to London I will most definitely be back!!

In London for work, the most amazing food and fantastic value. The cauliflower is not to be missed but the same can be said for anything I tried on the menu. Will definitely be back.

I never write reviews, but after visiting for the fourth time in almost as many weeks (and probably now know as Pickled Fred’s most keen customer), I thought a review was long overdue. I honestly can’t rate this restaurant highly enough - the food is excellent; well executed, great flavours, really good value for money, and, importantly, original, which is a novelty when you live in Shoreditch. The cocktails are also great, particularly if you go before 7pm when they are £5! Our host, Ben, is always amazing - incredibly welcoming and a great laugh. I have introduced this place to so many friends, who all share my enthusiasm, and can safely say that it’s become mine and my housemate’s favourite local haunt - fully expecting them to know our order by heart the next time we visit. 6/5 stars for sure

Fusion food at its best. Interesting ingredients, lots of fresh herbs, the dishes were jumping off the plate with flavour! Really nice feel to the place and such happy staff.

Booked this for my birthday meal out, as liked the sound of it when looking on the web, (interesting sounding cocktails & Asian inspired sharing dishes). Then found out after that it's run by Sam (of Som Saa fame). :-) I have been telling all my friends that it's definitely worth checking out, and have been back for a second visit myself. The food is great and the staff are all so friendly. Funky little place, love it! Go see for yourself! ;-)

Best place to be on any side of brick lane! The food is fantastic and imaginative and the drinks will have you going back everyday of the week.
