Went last night its our local now hubby had mixed grill i had the gammon it was lovely service was good and it was a good price aswell we waited half an hour but they were busy and told us before we ordered we will go back x

Last night 12 of us with our kids came to the pied piper for new year ! - all of the staff where dressed to impress and looked lovely staff where a dream what an a team hard workers ! Well done all food was lovely atmosphere was great and love our local !

Just been to have a meal and it must have been one off the most amazing steaks ive had for for ages and mark the bar staff who served us couldn't have done any more to help with my order over all a good experience with the ordering and quality of food

Happy my daughters 10th birthday meal here on tuesday. From start to finish everyone enjoyed themeselves food was amazing couldnt find one fault. The staff we amazing to more than happy to help so friendly made us all welcome. So a big big thank you guys. Can not recommend this place enough. We have been a few times and will deffo be making it our local for food. Great atmosphere and great staff and food what more do you want for a noce family meal. Thank you x

Been here twice and had the mixed grill. Both times enjoyed the food,prices arnt too bad either. The only gripe i have is that you get the chips in a cup like thing. I think you could do away with that and also the menus at the tables were to big,they need to be atleast half the size.lovely pub.i live in thornaby and think its well worth the hassle to drive a few miles for a really good meal.the staff are very nice and make you feel welcome unlike some pubs ive visited in the past....see you all soon(cant wait).

After visiting the Pied Piper yesterday, I found the entire team of staff where very welcoming nothing was to much trouble, a pleasure to visit the pub. Food was really lovely and great value for the price. Also staff came over to see if everything was ok very efficient staff. I will definitely be recommending my friends and family to pay this pub a visit I can’t fault it.

Today we were the lucky winners of the Pied Piper competition to win a meal for two with a bottle of wine. We were able to book a table for tonight and have just enjoyed a lovely steak dinner. The staff were really friendly and professional and the meal was excellent. Thank you �

Tbh I would have given 5⭐️ but it’s going to be 4⭐️ because a certain Mark Taylor off of that there Ormesby Bank never got a round in so it tainted my experience😡

Pleasantly surprised by this place, always heard of a bad reputation so avoided up until now. We've just moved to the area so as it's walking distance thought we'd give it a go, its had a make over looks great, met some friends on 1st visit, really enjoyed the food and service, 2nd time again food was nice for the 4 of us, my only whinge is the state of the ladies toilets and once food is finished you don't see any staff unless you go to the bar so lots of uncollected glasses, we def will be using this place as our new local though, hopefully the loos will improve too.

Lovely meal mid afternoon, the pub was quiet and peaceful which was good, my girlfriend Julie especially enjoyed the mint aero sundae dessert. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Just moved into area want a local so went to pied piper food excellent staff lovely nothing to much for them over all great pub then I have just gone to toilet omg no toilet seat full of toilet roll water all over floor what a shame when staff work so hard need money spending on toilets x

Booked table for 4 adults and 2 children on Tuesday for last night. When we arrived - advised table booked but apparently the system had been down so didn't know about our booking. To be fair the female member of staff did apologise and a table was sorted for is fairly quickly. Went up to the bar to order to be told no ribs so 3 out of the 4 of us had to decide on another meal - was disappointing as were all looking forward to this meal and it was early in the evening too. Waited 45 minutes for food - quite a considerable times especially with a hungry 2 year old! The childrens meal was very small when it do arrive too. When the food came out it wasn't bad but as a 2nd choice for 3 of us wasn't really what we wanted. We are usually stuffed so can't manage a desert but we were able to fit one in on this occasion again these went bad but overall we were quite disappointed and probably wouldn't return.

Staff were friendly and welcoming although waited quite a while for food and when it came out it was only just luke warm...as my mum ate into her fish the middle was stone cold ... not badly.priced but as it was cold wasn't worth it.. wouldn't eat here again

I have been a regular in this ph for many years, then turn this evening full of very very drunken youngsters, no control from staff , didn’t really care tbh most of them seem to have invited them as they were having drinks with them after their shift finished, blatant drug abuse going on in the toilets , staff appear to frightened to confront the issue, appears the regular manager was sent elsewhere due to a “rat problem” , must be the best rat catcher in town as how can a rat problem be solved by another manager ���, anyway was an awful evening with regulars feeling intimidated by the behaviour of others “including new bar staff”

Awful messed food orders then insisted children left asap when still eating .. no warning of time to leave until food eventually got served we will not return... atrocious!!!

You let us down guys!!! mothers day special (11.03.18) was vile. Consisted of frozen carrots, frozen sprouts and frozen roast potatoes, rock hard Yorkshire pudding and overly dry turkey. Nothing worth eating on the plate. Cost £12.00 for two courses, let's just say the shop bought cherry pie and cold custard for afters was interesting to say the least. Will not be returning in a hurry !!!!

Went for lunch yesterday.. firstly tables were dirty needed to ask for one to be cleaned.my husband asked for fish and chips... no fish.. not a problem so ordered sausage and mash. My husbands meal arrived.. some 5-7 mins later my lasagna arrived. I put on the usual condiments and decided to eat some of the salad first, thinking the lasagna would be hot... to my shock... I burnt my mouth on the tomato!!... the salad was hot!! My husband returned the meal. The young lady behind the bar stated it was because it had been under the heat lamp !! Why put salad under a heat lamp!! So my meal was returned, with the obvious signs on the dish where the old salad had been scraped off the plate... now the lettuce was inedible as it was all “ chunks” of lettuce stalks! The cheese topping on the lasagna had the consistency of “ slime” it was disgusting. There was no signs of any meat at all. In my view it tasted and looked like a cheap frozen meal. My husbands sausage and mash.. well... the mash tasted and looked like powdered potato which was dry and cold and sausages were very poor quality. We both left our meal and walked away!! Will not be returning.

Very disappointed, three of us had the chicken bacon and cheese sub it was not what I expected it to be, i asked if the sub was soft I was told it was toasted which I was pleased about it was not toasted at all, it came with chips and salad but when I ordered I was told it came with chips or salad so I ordered a extra portion of seasoned chips not only were they not seasoned they were warm as were the portion of onion rings I cannot see me going back for food ☹️

Booked Xmas Dinner months ago .. asked staff beforehand while in there drinking about this and was guaranteed no frozen produce .. xmas day lunch was inedible.. soup was cold .. toast with pate was cold and hard .. my son asked did they think he was a reindeer as carrots were raw and spearing a sprout with your fork was a good party game and impossible .. potatoes were frozen roast potatoes no mash or turnip .. after an hour wait between main we finally ( after asking) got pudding .. main had no offers of sauces , mint , cranberry etc .. service by the poor girl was fab but she seemed alone serving everyone and on going to the bar I was met with a guy being turfed out as he was barred from the night before .. over £300 for a meal and met with all this .. you want to hang your head. My partner emailed on xmas night with a complaint and not a single reply yet
