iwas very impressed on how it has improved i always used pike and mosket but due to ill health iwas unable to go there but this week i was able to go and i really enjoyed it thank sheila hawkes

WHAT A GREAT REFURB!!! Had a great meal, and staff looking really good in their new uniforms and the pub looks so welcoming from the outside. Well done and can’t wait to come back.

The refurbishment is perfect. Clean bright and modern. New toilets, carpets and nice decor. The menu is varied and our meals came quickly and were delicious. The person who gave a bad review is better off going to Haywain leaving more space for the regulars to enjoy our meals.

Hi I had a great time last night the food was great and the staff were great and helpful

Eat here regularily and with my family too for celebrations, it's my local and they put up with people moaning and they've always done their best to provide a great service

The pub is a community destination, very reasonably priced beer and food which are excellent value for money. It is a Mitchell and Butlers entry level venue compared to their many other pubs so don't expect too much. Basically you get what you pay for.

took ages to get served i know football was on but one person and he served loads before me and he didnt have a clue who was next

Thought I'd take my wife to the Pike and Musket for a meal and a few drinks to try it out. Something we now regret!! The bar staff clearly do not like working there as their attitude was awful and unwelcoming. We asked several times when our food would be served only to be approached by a bald headed thug who claimed to be the owner who was extremely aggressive. When the food finally arrived it was cold and inedible. When we went to pay our bill, we found numerous drinks that we had not ordered. No apology. Not a place for family, clearly a drugs den!!

Only came because the Haywain was full, yes this place is cheap but its cheap for a reason, wouldnt like leaving my car outside for fear of damage, food was luke warm full of gristle and pretty bad tasting... tables are cramped up together so much it was like eating with other people... babies an kids screaming and awful smell... id rather go hungry. Avoid this place at all costs

Just got back from the pike and musket ,will never go again ,asked for 2 steaks to be well done came to the table pink sent them back with a rude waitress ,came back with even pinker steak ,plate swimming in grease,onions raw and stuff missing from our order ,asked for a plain cheese burger came with all salad inside ,manager came gave refund on 2

Steaks but clearly couldn’t see the problem with our food ,went here for a birthday meal as was nice when we went couple years ago ,1 bar staff had no idea what she was doing whilst serving us and was very abrupt so asked for another member of staff to finish our order ,such a shame as it’s a nice looking menu and pub

DO NOT GO TO THE PIKE AND MUSKET . Staff are friendly food is slow coming with wrong orders and cold DO NOT RUN A TAB after the screaming and shouting coming from the upstairs/out the back to see a nasty crazed chubby man, pushed past the bar staff and slamming his pint glass on the bar demanding a drink. Even when appeased, continued to walking round glaring at everyone . Maureen my wife felt so intimidated and embarrassed, as were all our friends that had travelled to be with us. Left cold food and drinks, asked for the bill only to find extra drinks that we hadn't ordered. Only paid through fear!! Massive thanks to the Haywain for saving our evening with great food and very friendly people
