Great day out at the Barleylands Showground to support a great charity. Pilgrims Pantry will be there with their homemade dips, easy cook meals, flavoured salts and fudge. PLUS hand-painted personalised children's bags with toys ... lots of dogs!

Christmas is getting closer at an alarming pace and for anyone looking for lovely presents we are holding a gift sale on 4th & 5th Nov. and again on 11th & 12th Nov. at 158 Hatch Road, CM15 9QB. 10am - 4pm each day, entry is free and the kettle will be on. We will have homemade fudge & chocolate, gift sets of various jams & chutneys, dip mixes, hampers, children's personalised bags and toys, silver jewellery, scarves plus much more. Come and join us for a unique gift at a reasonable price!
This is tea tonight but I am making mine with chicken quorn mince. Here is how you can make it too: Hungarian Pasta Sauce
Serves 4
500 g minced beef... 2 onions Red pepper 100g mushrooms (optional 1 tablespoon of tomato puree Tin of chopped tomatoes Glass of red wine 3 teaspoons of a Taste of Hungary dip mix Little olive oil
• Chop the onions, mushrooms and pepper • Heat the oil in a large pan with the dip mix • Add the meat and stir until browned, then put to one side • Stir fry the vegetables for a few minutes • Add the wine, tomato puree and tin tomatoes & return the meat • Simmer for 30 minutes or until the sauce is syrupy in consistency • Meanwhile cook your pasta of choice as per the packet cooking instructions. • After draining the pasta place in a pile in a large bowl and cover with the meat mixture. • Optional: grate some parmesan or other hard cheese over the meat and ad torn pieces of basil.
