Our local campsite. Just outside Penkridge but once you are on the site you could be anywhere in the country. The amenities are very good and pets(dogs) are more than welcome. There are 2 parks for the young ones and various pools for those who love to fish.

Great campsite with excellent facilities, complete with onsite snack bar. Cannock chase is only a few minutes away for walks and mountain bike trails.

Great campsite with friendly staff, clean toilets, great play areas. The pitches are spacious and the fishing is good, £5 a day if you are staying in site. We will be back.

Great clean site. Lovely parks for kids to play. Parks are in giant sand pits so extra fun for kids. Good fishing to and good camp shop with nice little cafe. Local Indian and Chinese deliver to camp site to which is a bonus if you run out of gas

It depends on what you want. On our first visit, upon arrival, we felt as though we had landed at Glastonbury. It seemed as though there was a carpet of tents, caravans with nowhere to go. However, when we got to our appointed pitch, we thought, Mmm, not bad, but still had reservations about the closeness. When set up, we realised that we had more space on either side than we would have had on a Camping Club pitch. Although vastly populated at weekends, bearing in mind our requirement for some peace and quiet, the daytime noise was not of drunken yobs on a mad weekend, but of young families and kiddies having a whale of a time. At evening time the noise dropped drastically to leave just birdsong and the distant laughter and giggles of mums and dads chilling out with a much deserved glass of their favourite tipple. The fishing pools are well stocked and with patience you can hook a monster!!!. The shower blocks although dated provide ample hot water. Cleanliness although OK could have been better. During the week, well, only a few vans remain and you can almost hear a spider spinning a web. Eating out is ace with the usual takeaways/ restaurants in the village. Our second visit saw us enjoy a new small toilet and shower block which was very much needed in the main field. Although within a mile or so of M6, no noise heard. And, yes, we will visit again, and again. We have recommended the site to others, who have visited and they have said that they enjoyed their stay and they will visit again. Give it a try, you may be pleasantly surprised, plus, a huge rally field. The views are spectacular with the Chase a mile away.

Recommended. Very clean and well looked after site. The shower/toilet blocks were also very clean and kept to standard throughout the day. The washing up facilities were of an excellent standard.
If you are looking for a peaceful site with lovely views, two play areas for the kids, excellent washing facilities, roomy flat pitches well spread and a decent shop on site this is the place.
Will definitely go again.
