Microneedling is an advanced treatment whereby an electronic device with very small needles is used over the skin to penetrate down to the dermis which stimulates the production of collagen and regeneration of the skin.... . Who will this benefit? Anyone with skin concerns such as acne, acne scarring, uneven skin tone, ageing skin, fine lines, wrinkles, pigmentation, sun damage, loose or lax skin and many more. . Is there any downtime? Due to the depth of penetration required with the device, the skin will appear red (sunburnt like) for 1-3 days following treatment. It will then become dry for a further 1-3 days before returning to normal 7-14 days after treatment. During this time sunscreen is a necessity. Makeup can be worn the day after treatment, however for full benefits it is recommended to allow 2-3 days before applying makeup to the skin. . Will I need more than one treatment? This depends on the severity of your concern. You will see a vast improvement from the first treatment, however for maximum benefit a course of treatments are required (4-6 treatments). . Are the results permanent? Yes! The results are permanent however for conditions such as wrinkles, further treatments may be required in order to maintain results long term. .
