We were there last night great atmosphere and lovely staff and the vodka’s and coke are to die for! P
We love this place every time we go xx Great music, setting and atmosphere, but mostly great drink:)
The bar looks amazing. Huge selection of beers to chose from. If you don’t know what you want explain what you normally drink, the staff are very helpful. The food was amazing, meat plate and scotch egg., wow! Made Christmas shopping easier.
Superb service from a man who knows his beer inside out. A quiet Monday afternoon just passed and the scotch egg challenged any in Oxford... pity the management had to divert his time with us, enforcing he clean a table whilst we were enjoying his Craic...
Really friendly staff, both in the bar and restaurant. Hadn't been before but was introduced to the beer selection board. The menu didn't clearly say starters but the waitress suggested maybe 3 small plates but we opted for the Scotch eggs, lovely-runny yolks too. We both chose the overnight pork-belly, fantastic. "Real chips"! No room for pud but did try the " Fancies", just enough of something sweet with coffee. All in all a very nice experience, one to be repeated when we don't have to work in the morning and can sample some of the wide choice of ales.
Lovely place, me and my partner stop for lunch. The drink selection was brilliant and what we chose tasted great. We had the devilled lamb kebab and would highly recommend
I ate here opening night (see my pics). Ate, drank and had a chat with the friendly staff. I also think they've done a very good job at making the place look just like something out of the Victorian era / a high-end saloon from the Wild West (and I've been to Texas)! Definitely my favourite place in Oxford.
Great selection of craft beer & spirits. Knowledgeable and friendly staff, tasty bar food. Great place to visit in Oxford :)
Great choice of beers from small producers - a chance to try some different flavours and styles. Also an amazing choice of spirits and some unusual soft drinks. Friendly, knowledgeable staff and smart, unfussy surroundings. Top stuff!
Found this place on a trip to the theatre. It doesn't look much from the outside, but downstairs is a hidden gem. The food was absolutely delicious, beautifully presented and plenty of choices. Cost was reasonable too. The service was great and the staff very friendly. AND, I had the best gin and tonic I've ever tasted - just wish I could remember what the heck it was called! Would definitely go here again.
Food was delicious and the service was spot on .( we both have worked in catering and front of house for over a decade so when we tip we start at 5.00 and as service slips up we deduct 50p The lady who served us today is the first person in 4 years to get the whole fiver !) Veggi option was tasty , and being as we stumbled upon this place not dressed for the occasion ( easter Sunday scruffs lol) at no point did we feel judged ... also impressed by the drinks menu , four pages of gin alone ! Really looking forward to returning one day soon
Absolutely fantastic evening! The food was beautiful and full of flavour and service was spot on! Thank You so much Pint Shop Oxford. Will be returning very soon
Lovely food, though my pie needed to be a bit bigger. Beer was good, wine ok.
But for the price it was value
Cool vibe about the place. Good variety of ales and lagers, but I thought that £5.50 a pint was steep even for Oxford.
Based on the posted reviews on Trip advisor, we decided to have a drink and something to eat. Wide choice of drinks, I believe 26 types of Ales and cider in the tap and many Gin to try. The food was excellent and beyond my expectations
Good selection of beer and very tasty food - my only grumble would be that for the most expensive main dish on the menu (squid & potato salad), made from the least expensive ingredients, the portion size was shockingly small - more starter than main dish.
I visited with my boyfriend on Friday night and even though he did like his beer the service was awful . We ordered food which came without cutlery or napkins or any kind of question or offer on sauces . So my boyfriend had to get up to ask for sauces . After cutting my burger in half it was raw in the middle which I can't and don't want to eat at the moment because I'm pregnant so second time we had to ask . Which was just awful as I was looked at as if I'm asking for something impossible. After that my burger was brought back black . I didn't eat it my boyfriend did . And it was excactly the same . I work in a kitchen where we sell food for half the price and once it has been brought back into the kitchen we are not allowed to recook reheat it so clearly it should have been a fresh burger . For £12 no salad no tomatoes no onion no sauce . Service is more important than anything so I personally would not go back or recommend to anyone . Also before even ordering our food the waitress cleared our table without asking if we were finished and after my boyfriend said I'm not finished she asked with a smile looking at my empty glass you are finished though aren't you ? That is no service ! She cleared our menu too so we had to get up and ask for another one .
Great beer, but for price of the food, the portions are so small, you have to order at least 3 extra sides. Would only go again for the beer.
Sunday lunch time. No atmosphere. Very poor food. Had lamb kebab, fried onions cold and unrecognisable. Complained but no adjustment to bill. Have been to the one in Cambridge and it was great!
