So we've got some big news: it's festival time!
Pint-Sized: October-Fest is here, a week-long festival with free workshops, Q&As and much more more.
Each night you’ll see the Pint-Sized you know and love; five short plays, chosen from 1,681 entries, with the writers mentored by Lucy Kirkwood, Simon Stephens, Lucy Prebble and more, all wrapped up with our house band playing tracks written about each piece, and discounts at the bar.
... WORKSHOPS
Tuesday 2nd October, 2.30pm Panel discussion on the first steps in a writer's career, with the multi- award-winning Roy Williams (Sucker Punch, Sing Yer Heart Out For The Lads) and others to be announced.
Wednesday 3rd October, 2.30pm A workshop session for 30 writers with Bush Theatre Associate Dramaturg Deirdre O'Halloran.
Thursday 4th October, 2.30pm A session for 30 actors on working on new writing, with a very exciting host we'll be announcing shortly...
Saturday 6th October, 2.30pm A speed-dating session for 30 writers and 30 producers; meet your future collaborators and get the ball rolling on your next project.
Tickets for workshops and Q&As are free for anyone with a ticket to one of the evening shows. Once you've booked your ticket, you'll receive information on how to reserve your free Q&A or workshop place. These have limited spaces, so get booking soon!

It’s the first of a couple of big announcements headed your way…and it’s the new Pint-Sized podcast!
Are you a writer trying to work out how the industry works? - Which theatres take script submissions? - What are they looking for? ... - What should an agent be doing for me? - How do I get my work put on?
To help you navigate your way round the industry - and hopefully talk about the fun creative stuff as well - we’re interviewing literary managers, agents, producers, directors - and asking them how you can get your foot in the door.
Our first episode is just a little teaser - six minutes from our first interview, with the brilliant Stewart Pringle. Stewart is currently Associate Dramaturg at Bush Theatre, and is moving on to become the National Theatre’s Dramaturg; we can’t think of anyone better to ask about how to be a writer in 2018. The full interview with Stewart will be released next week, on Thursday 25th.
