Went in there for a cheeky bevvy or two and a meal with some mates and it was a really enjoyable experience. Great customer service, no grumpy employees and the food was spot on. ��

New Head Chef in the kitchen and food taste amazing!! I like this place, very good atmosphere, nice prices, good drinks. Sunday roast is extraordinary. Its really good that we have that kind of restaurant in Reading. PROUD!!!

Food was surprisingly good, fresh and tasty for a pub chain and the Cosmopolitans went down well, too. We will certainly be coming back.

We went to celebrate my husband’s birthday, when I went to the bar there were no other people there. However there were 6 bar persons - 3 either end. Who carried on chatting to each other & totally ignored me. A crowd of men came in and stood to my left & immediately the dark haired waitress with glasses walked straight over & starting serving them!!! I had been waiting for over 5 mins by then. One of the men looked over & I said oh you can see me I thought I was invisible!!! Then finally another waitress came over & I asked for another bottle of wine with an ice bucket. She came back with bucket & wine and said in a snotty voice that’s the last of this wine. To which I replied well I won’t ask for it then! I worked for 10 yrs behind a bar & always knew which customers were in front of who. Maybe they should be taught the basic art of bar work & how to be pleasant to customers! Not impressed. Sad because the food was lovely.

Thanks to the staff who (unlike other pubs) didn't refuse to serve us on Saturday as we were MiIllwall fans - did you have any trouble? thought not - treat us nicely and we're fine, treat us like scum and you get what you deserve.

Post London Irish match..I have to apologise as after seating ourselves down we never made it to the bar! Oops! We gathered and group discussion made we exited ten mins later in hunt for a Chinese! In Southampton Pitcher&Piano is my favourite place so I was in Reading yesterday and I decided to check this place in Reading again. Last time- kitchen completely different like in Southampton. But now? I was really suprised -Very nice place, excellent food, nice drinks. Before- kitchen was nothing special but know is really AMAZING, probably new chef? Excellent burgers.

One note for the waitress- sometimes you need to smile to the guests , not just doing weird faces(Ive been told that the name of this lady is Danielle). If you are in bad mood just stay away from the customers, my good advice.

Had a drink with my daughter there was a problem with the food comming out late we decided to order some foods it did look nice but was told the chef had walked out because there was a problem with the computer not letting him no people we waiting for food so we left

The food was ok. The service was odd. Took far too long to serve our drinks, forgot the jug of water we asked for too. Food came promptly and was ok, we then ordered coffees. Whilst we were drinking them we were asked if we wanted the bill. We said yes (in a kinda surprised way!). Then a while after we were asked when we were going to pay!!! There were 2 other tables being used so not at all busy. We asked the waitress if we needed to rush and she told us no. This place is fine for quick food but much more set up for drinking I think.

Nice drinks, nice food, staff always pleasant and welcoming but early evening it's a little too noisy, after work it's nice to be able to have a conversation! also door needs fixing, it often stays open when people are coming and going so can be a bit chilly, get that sorted and you'll be great �

It was quite slow service but the food was hot and enjoyable. I ordered a glass of Pino and the waitress informed me when she brought it to the table that the bottle was now empty and they didn’t have any more! In a pub that is not good planning! I think there should be more healthy options available like jacket potatoes and non fried foods, that was disappointing.

Cocktails are far to over priced, the same cost as London prices not sure why they weren't that great either with a minimum selection. Food severed quick but poor.

Staff were fantastic though.

The decor is very cool but the service was not that on the ball and they forgot my meal altogether

One of the worst food in Reading

My friend was refused service and kicked out of the pub for making one small comment about how long it was taking to get served, which in all fairness, it was. We were then initially refused to be served as well for being with him, until we complained to the manager. Terrible service, and an appalling way to treat paying customers who only brought up a grievance with the slow service he was receiving.
