Well looked after by Bar Manager Tom & his staff. Good food, great service & excellent drinks. Our last night in UK, and our wedding anniversary, made for a lovely evening.

User

The staff were all lovely and working hard. We all had the p &p burger which was great. I did notice the restaurant was a bit messy. Empty Christmas decoration boxes and generally untidy in the edges of the restaurant. The staff never stppped the whole time we were there. Will come back again.

User

Thank you for hosting our hen party cocktail making class last night! Was a fantastic evening with the live music talented band featuring our Bride to be herself ... and a brilliant, good looking dj to finish off the night! Awesome evening

User

Some sick beats get played at this joint, I come here to proper thrust some moves and the thots love it! I occasional pull a 4/10 but that's only after I've had a few too many but I can't blame that on the pitcher, I blame that on the VODKA! Would highly recommend if you're looking for hot birds to slay. Pricey drinks however when you get to this place after spoons and alfies I doubt you'll give a F**K but I can assure you, you will in the morning

User

I booked an area for 11 of us for a hen party. The bar was so busy so it was great to have our own area by the DJ to dance.

We had a great time

User

Had a lovely lunchtime meal with the family before dropping the lad off to Uni. We were lucky to be seated in a booth which was great. Very cosy and private. The menu was varied, and really tasty. A little on the pricey side, but certainly not too expensive to put us off. Definitely our choice again. And thanks to the friendly staff, who looked after us.

User

Great beer and some lovely food, especially the caramel and peanut Mess!

User

Came in here on a night out the bar man under pored my drink I told him it was under pored refused to give me the drink saying "well would you like this drink then" in a sarcastic attitude don't think is was needed coming from a barman myself need to have look at customer care on a training day

User

Where to start... What could've been a tasteful, atmospheric bar where you can actually meet and get to know people, gets turned into Winchester's go-to clubbing destination three evenings a week. Drinks are at the highest prices in the city and the place is too cramped for a dance floor.

They need to get their target market straight - either be a great bar with great food all the time, or rip out the decoration, lower the prices and turn the place into a club. But make sure it's actually done right... The four-colour disco light set from Maplin bought at £29.99 doesn't do it any favours, nor does playing the same playlist every night.

User

Had the roast share platter for four, was plenty there and was very tasty, it's a shame the food wasn't as hot as could be and the plates they bought out for us were cold, we didn't let that spoil our lunch, we mentioned to the waitress the food could have been warmer and the plates, I think they took that on board. The service was very quick and staff very polite and helpful.

User

Came in for a Sunday roast and did not come out how it was described on the menu. Hard parsnips, carrots were definitely not honey roasted, about 4 bits of savoy cabbage,no bacon with the peas and also had to ask for our sauces even though it say's on the menu that this comes with the dish. Astounded that you can charge £10.50 for such a poor quailty dinner. Staff were friendly, but when we explained why we were disappointed the waiter for some reason told us that this is also a club. No matter what kind of venue you are, if you serve food surely the customers should be getting what is advertised. Seem's like the chefs have no care in what they produce, and I feel sorry for the FOH staff that will have to deal with the customers complaints.

User

Been to outlets before but sorry this has to be the worst

Waited a time to order drinks then ordered food no starters just a main each , unit wasn't busy but waited 30 minutes to get main

Glass served chipped and dirty for drink

When food did arrived my main course look good my partners wasn't described as per menu we got the waitresses attention who took away and said it be 5 minutes

When arrived a main course was placed into what I'd describe as a soup bowl and just transferred into a bed of cheap lettuce and the so called dressing was the covering remains from the previous mis order

We ate of course but didn't want to return a dish again and my food was getting cold

On complaining we had to suggest the outcome which was kindly done with a further gesture

Disappointing visit

User

Went here last night and wish we'd gone elsewhere. We waited ages just to get a drink and then spent about 10 minutes trying to get the staff's attention to order food and another drink. I ordered a glass of white wine but they didn't have the one I ordered so asked for pinot grigio instead. The waiter firstly brought a glass of red and when I got a white it was tasteless and I suspect not pinot. The food took a long time and when it did arrive I got cold skinny fries despite asking for skin on chips. The waitress was gone so quickly and it was impossible to get any ones attention that I ate my veggie burger which wasn't the hottest and left the chips. My husband also only aye about half his meal. We asked for the bill and it was only after it had been brought (our playes still on our table) that the waiter asked if the food was OK. Definitely won't be going there again.

User

We went there today for my birthday lunch. We ordered our little ones food first as he was upset and hungry and we were so impressed with how quickly it arrived. That unfortunately is where the praise ends. When our meals arrived part of mine was wrong so they sent it back. They left me with half my meal to eat and the rest arrived pretty much as I had finished. Not ideal. My husbands chips tasted like they were off so we didn't eat them. They were revolting. The toilets also need a thorough clean as the floor was filthy and there were dirty smears on the walls. Severely lacking an attention to detail. A thoroughly disappointing meal and our second and final bad meal here. We won't be returning.

User

Waiting staff great, food horrendous. Had Burger and chips, I had three small bites and realised that the meat was off, so sent it back. I’d eaten the bacon, had a few of the under cooked chips, couldn’t touch the greasy onion rings and had one bite from the bun, I was still charged £12.95. Lauren the Manager wouldn’t refund the cost as she said I’d eaten most of it. Well Lauren you carry on, needless to say I won’t be going there again.

User

Took ages to be served for a drinks and further more, Sunday roast wasn't as described in menu... cold slices of rare beef soaked in thin gravy with frozen pees and undercooked vegs.

Good place on main road, shame service poor and food absolute waste of money.

:(

User

There were 4 tables empty near the bar which is right next to the other tables however when we sat down we overheard one waitress ask the supervisor if she can serve us there to which she looked at us and said absolutely not before coming over and rudely telling us that the restaurant is full and we aren't allowed to sit in this area. They just lost £50 custom and we won't go back, but hey at least they have some empty tables!

User

Had a wonderful booth booked, but waited ages to get served a drink, then exasperated had to go the bar to order food even though it was table service. A family that came after us got served first, bless him my son was complaining that he was hungry, we had to wait along time and they got his order incorrect. My chargrilled pitta bread was burnt to a cinder! To put this in context, it was not busy, so not an excuse they could make. It took three young members of staff to put my bill together....! Shame nice venue but staff need customer 'nice' service training. Need to go to the Black Boy, Wykeham, or William Walker to see how easy to accomplish this. Goes a long way and word of mouth from a local!!!

User

Could be so lovely - Most horrific service, drinks late, food all arrived at different times and then we waited half an hour to pay a bill...when we asked to pay the bill having been patient for 2 hours in total, we got attitude from a lady as if it was our problem!!! Do not go here, totally appalled!
