Pjc Inspection & Testing

About Pjc Inspection & Testing

We specialise in the inspection and testing of in-service electrical equipment. This was formerly known as PAT testing (Portable Appliance Test).

Pjc Inspection & Testing Description

Organisations are required to have their electrical equipment tested to ensure it is safe to use and fit for purpose, be it a school, college, shop or building site.
Most organisations believe they need to have testing carried out yearly, this is not the case.

Testing requirements should be based on a risk analysis of the equipment. The testing period can range from three months to four years depending on equipment type, site conditions and level of use.

On our first visit to you our engineers will carry out a full risk assessment and schedule a period of testing. This not only ensures high risk equipment is tested regularly to avoid injury to the operator and downtime but also ensures low risk equipment is not over tested incurring unnecessary costs.

After testing has taken place a report and certificate will be issued detailing test periods which satisfies the requirement that you as the Duty Holder are bound to under government regulations.

In carrying out the above your testing costs are reduced and potential risks are identified which results in a safer working environment.

All our engineers are City & Guilds qualified and fully insured.

We hope you will choose us for your testing requirements and look forward to providing you with a first class cost effective service.
