Good for a walk with young children. Mazes and things to do for the little ones.

Great place for a walk with small children. You can try out the mazes and stroke some animals and collect stamps hidden all over the park to win a badge at the end.

Brilliant place to spend a few hours - we were there for about 4 hours and are warn out from all the walking. Brilliant mazes and the nature walk and all good and there is a good park for children too. You can get drinks and ice creams from the visitor centre but that's about it otherwise it would have been 5 stars. There are toilets at the visitor centre too as well as an indoor nature walk which has some interactive bits but are not working. We saw some animals and found a good spot for our picnic and there are activities throughout the day like pond dipping happening. Brilliant mazes which were just right difficulty level and our nearly 4 year old enjoyed leading the way. Lots of space for chikdren to run around and the woodland walk gave us some much needed shade. Peaceful and quiet and a lovely way to spend the day. We will be going back again.

My family and I had travelled an hour to go to
Plantasia on a bank holiday and it was the biggest mistake to go there. First we couldn't find it and had to stop and ask a pedestrian. Then when getting to the reception we were told there are no animals as they are re-doing their enclosures so the ticket is at a cheaper price. On our way around the inside part there were interactive wall displays and flowers where you could press a button for it to work...NONE of them worked! The fish tanks looked like they hadn't been cleaned in years (full of mould and algae) and one tank was completely empty. The mazes...well you couldn't get lost in them! Nearly every one you walked in and there was a gate straight into the middle and once you got to the middle there was nothing there.
For children there was a hunt to collect stamps on a piece of card...even my partner couldn't press the buttons down without using all his weight, let alone a 9 yr old trying to do it...plus the stamps barely showed up! Then the walk outside...completely overgrown with rope to section off areas you couldn't go...took a photo of a heap of rotting wood dumped in the wood with a rotting chair next to it...and to top it all off, in the bushes I took a photo of a shotgun shell! And this is supposed to be a place for nature!!! Will never go there again! And it's such a shame as this could be a lovely place and obviously a lot of thought has gone into it. Needs closing and having some serious tlc.

A good place to visit with the kids. It has a variety of outdoor spaces and a good walkway in the trees. The Maze selection is a good one and can entertain the children for a good long time. Well worth a visit.
