Went here for food and drinks yesterday, there was lots of choice on the menu, the food was lovely, full of flavour, piping hot and came quickly. The staff are very attentive, friendly and made us feel welcome, I would definitely recommend you try this little gem! X

Went for a meal there last night with my girlfriend for her birthday and I can say the food,service and staff were amazing and I work as a chef so I know what I'm talking about.

Well worth the money I paid and the steaks were beautiful,the night was amazing

We went to platform 1 today for Sunday lunch with my in laws. The service was fantastic, food delicious, staff were polite and friendly. The place was spotlessly clean (something my FIL always checks for) and the decor was really nicely done with original features included in a modern look.

The food was delicious with the meat melting in our mouths (pork and turkey) and the veg and Yorkshire puddings all fresh and cooked perfectly. I can honestly say I can't fault a thing and we will definitely be back again.

Called into Platform 1 this evening for some food and drinks and as usual it was absolutely brilliant. Really busy evening, the lovely staff happy to accommodate us to a table. They explained there would be a wait on food due to it being busy, this was not a problem as when food arrived it was absolutely worth the wait!!

Brilliant value for money, proper home cooked and good quality food - friendly staff - lovely environment... what more could you ask for.

Would definitely recommend to friends and family!!!

Bank holiday weekend of no cooking after getting a recommendation for this place and we had some beautiful tasty meals both days, service was impeccable, have definitely recommend you guys. Fantastic �

2 couples with different orders of food ..faultless is all i can say...will be returning again....even enquired about food that is not on menu and was told "no problem"..give us notice and we will cook it....friendly staff and the service was spot on thanks to the 'maitre de'...thanks for a lovely meal..

we had a friends birthday meal here when it first opened and was not impressed at all but went again last week with the family and can tell there is a new chef...the chicken parmesan was delicious so fresh and tasty!!!! the parsnip chips were yummy too !!!! thank u xx

After a long day at work we decided to go down to our local for dinner.

Was pleasing to see how busy it was and despite being told it was a 45min wait, we decided to sit in the garden and enjoy the sunshine.

The garden was full of families, grown ups talking and children playing, just how it should be. The manageress was pleasant and chatted to us for a few mins as handed out our cutlery .

Food arrived after 25mins and was spot on. Thanks guys. Always happy to support local businesses.

Arrived for a pre-ordered meal with several families. We were expecting a Halloween theme and something for the kids. A pumpkin on the bar was the only decoration. We got put in the restaurant section where there was an awful sewage smell, the meals were late and trickling out the kitchen door. Only 2 staff were working in the bar which wasn't enough. Food was ok, I've had much better at platform 1.

Although in the end we enjoyed our meal but. Didn't like the fact there was a dog sat on the next table actually sat on the table waitress stroking it and letting it lick her before she put cutlery out. She said they had wipes under the counter when our friends politely asked her to wash her hands before she served us but didn't see her use them. When the starter arrived one was totally different to the one ordered. When the proper order came it had caramel onion on instead of the port jelly offered on the menu. when this was queried they said the menu was printed wrong When the main course arrived our friend ordered hake with creamy prawn sauce and they brought her fish and chips. They took that back and later brought her the hake. Then he went to the bar for me a glass of red wine which had to go back cos it had lipstick on the glass. We were told they would only charge for 2 meals and 2 starters because of the major 'cock ups' in the end I did feel a bit sorry for them. We had been recommended to go here and I'm sure it was only a 'blip' but unfortunately I wish it hadn't been us

What an unfortunate experience calling in to tonight at the “local”! Advised 30 min wait for food at 6.10pm! Not a problem kids peckish but 1/2 hour not to bad! However, over an hour and 20 mins later and we had to request our money back! We then received the weakest apology, this after 3 times of asking how long our food would be and no apology and nobody taking responsibility.This I find completely unacceptable!

Manageress completely out of her depth, and denied saying we where “arsey customers” no we had HUNGRY children to contend with! The fact of the matter was we heard her!

When leaving my friend had the misfortune to be harassed by the chef as he shouted across the car park! “Can’t believe your leaving, your foods ready” along with a mouthful of abuse!

Wanting to support local business but I won’t be patronising them with my custom again!

Not a particularly busy evening when we arrived!

Rude staff, food took forever in the end we had to ask for money back. We were told 30 minutes, at 1 hour 20 we’d had enough.

No apology until we asked for the refund. Overheard staff ‘slagging’ us off for deigning to ask when our food would be ready!

Chef came out of the kitchen as we left and gave us abuse! Excellent customer service skills there not....I can see why he’s confined to the kitchen.

Dog poo all over the kids play area, which we mentioned twice and it wasn’t picked up.

Toilets disgusting, seat hanging off.

Needless to say we won’t be back.
