A guy I know who teaches at pineapple wrote this and I totally agree! Wise words!
I had an interesting conversation with someone last week talking about standards. Standards of living, standards in dance, in showbiz, standards in social behaviour in public and just the general realisation that standards have definitely been dropping in all aspects of life. Why Is that? Is it because people are now not being defined by standards? Or not being restricted? Or is it sheer laz...iness? Less lack of respect? Are standards a good thing? Some might say its repressive others say it’s necessary.
I personally believe we need standards just like we need goals. It can give you a sense of pride, achievement and more of a positive self worth.
Set yourself those standards that relate to you best and let yourself be elevated to reach them. Strive forward and flourish!
