The owners were modernising this lovely grade II listed building in Ozleworth, Gloucestershire, and to future proof their mobility in their home they asked Platinum Lifts to install a Home Elevator.
The lift needed to fit discreetly in with the surroundings, so bespoke doors were installed to match the other room doors.
With a Classic theme, the car is lined with green melamine walls, painted steel car operating panel and skirting, oak veneer floor, and a painted automatic bi-folding door.

A Baroness and a member of the House of Lords, our client downsized from her 3 story town house in Knightsbridge to a smaller property 2 miles away in Bayswater.
She needed to future proof her mobility, so before moving in to her new home Platinum Lifts installed a Home Elevator.

Summary:
The existing passenger lift needed to be replaced as the annual maintenance costs were becoming unaffordable. The old lift was removed, and the lift shaft prepared ready for a brand new Platinum Home Elevator.
The existing lift shaft dimeniosn were below the allowed minimum for a standard passenger lift, so we supplied the Home Elevator which requires a shallow pit and low headroom.
The new lift, with it’s modern timber effect finish fulfillwed the cusgomer requirements.

2 stop Gearless MRL Passenger Lift
Our client, Portakabin, were contracted to build a 2 story building at the Jaguar and Landrover Heritage Centre, Gaydon.
As Portakabin’s preferred suppler, Platinum Lifts were enlisted to install a 630kgs passenger lift.
... With a very short timescale, the lift was delivered, installed and commissioned in time for Portakabin to hand over the building to Jaguar.
With a MRL gearless traction motor and VVVF control, the lift is designed with energy efficiency and ride comfort in mind.
The client chose the “Classic” car theme with walnut effect finish.

Passenger Lift Installation
The 4 stop, 8 person, Gearless MRL passenger lift was successfully installed despite some hurdles which we had to overcome. For instance it was mpossible for the builders to dig the lift pit any lower than 400mm.
According to the lift regulations 1997 the minimum pit depth needs to allow for a specific amount of refuse space for an engineer, which means it should be approximately 1000mm deep.
... Platinum Lifts obtained BIS approval for a derogation to the requirements of article 2.2 of The Lifts Regulations 1997, Working closely with our governing body, Lift Cert, we successfully redesigned the lift to suit the shallow pit.
