We have a few vacancies available from January 2019 for afternoon sessions. Please enquire ASAP to secure your child’s place. We accept 2,3,4 year old funded places and 30 hour extended entitlement for 3/4 year olds. We also accept non funded places charged at £11 per 3hr session. Today we officially opened our Sensory Room with representatives from Furtherwick Park Legacy Fund and the Rotary Club of Canvey Island. This resource is such a huge asset to the preschool and we thank them for their generous donation.

I saw this and wanted to share it as reading to children is so important, especially in the early years. We've had lots of children requesting for stories to be read to them at pre-school this week. We love to read and share our favourite stories with the children and the benefits and opportunities from being read to are endless for our little ones ☺️

Tapestry Accounts
All of our new children’s Tapestry accounts have now been created and emails have been sent to all parent/carers to activate your accounts. Please keep an eye out for the activation email and follow the instructions on the email to access your account as soon as possible. If you would like any help in activating your Tapestry accounts please speak to your child’s key person who will happily help you.
The key persons will be busy observing your children over ...the next few weeks as part of their baseline assessments and will be uploading observations soon ☺️
Within your account you will have your child’s account as well as the Play Planet News and Messages account which is used to keep you updated with news and info!

We will be returning to using the garden entrance from tomorrow so please queue at the back gate which will open at 8.30am and 12.30pm.
Can we ask new parents to please come in and settle their children but not to stay longer than required as to avoid upsetting the children. Staff will be on hand to help settle your children so please ask for help should you require it. Children’s belongings can be left on the pegs and lunchboxes left on the lunch trolley. Please do not bring bottles of juice or drinks for your children unless they are for lunchtime. We will provide refreshments for the children at our snack bar.
Fees are due from tomorrow and can be paid to Sarah at the desk. Please can we ask that fees are paid promptly on your child’s first day of attendance. Many thanks

As the end of the holidays approaches we hope you have all had an enjoyable break. We would like to wish all of our children who will be attending school all the best in their new journey.
For all children returning to Preschool and our new families joining us please be reminded that we are closed for training day on Monday 3rd September and sessions will resume from Tuesday 4th September. We look forward to seeing all of our children returning and meeting our new families too.

‼️Important notice - Summer Stay & Plays‼️
Due to low numbers we have made the decision to stop running the Tuesday afternoon sessions. The Tuesday and Thursday mornings will be open as normal 10am - 12pm. We look forward to seeing you this week for more fun!

Don’t forget that today is the start of our stay and play groups at Play Planet Pre School. Starting at 10am-12pm and 1pm-3pm today and 10-12pm Thursdays throughout the holidays. £5 per child and £1 discount per child if you book the afternoon session too. We look forward to seeing you

On behalf of all of the staff at Play Planet we want to wish all of our wonderful children and families a very happy summer holiday. We’ve had an amazing school year with your amazing children and thank you all for your kind and generous gifts and cards - we are totally overwhelmed!!!

Good morning
It’s graduation day 👩‍🎓👨‍🎓
Just a reminder about today’s graduation ceremonies. The morning one starts at 11.00am and the afternoon one will start at 3.00pm. Please note the morning session is due to be more busy so we will try our best to keep on time but ask for your patience especially afterwards as we do need to ensure everyone leaving the preschool does so safely and with their parent/carer.

Today when the post arrived we had a nice surprise waiting for us. We received a lovely photograph and message thanking the children and staff for the card to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex which we made and sent congratulating them on their recent wedding. The children and staff were very excited to receive this and we wanted to share it with you all ☺️

Don’t forget to check if you are eligible for the 30hours extended funding entitlement for your 3 or 4 year old and apply using the attached link before 31st Aug 2018

Teddy has been coming to play planet since he was 2, he’s now 4 and he still loves going to play school, the staff are fantastic and Teddy praises them all. Myself and Teddy will miss play planet/all the staff when he goes big school this September! �

Outstanding pre-school loving, friendly, helpful & caring staff, my daughter started when she was 2 & absolutely love's it but unfortunately this year she is off to big school so will be saying good bye in July. I really can't fault or put this pre-school down will definitely be recommending to friend's & family �� xx

My son loves it here and daughter does even though she not going till September Ruth has been great helping my son, all the girls are great at there jobs and keep,up the good work xx

My son attends Play Planet but will sadly be going to Big School in September, my older two children also attended Play Planet and we have always loved this pre-school, the staff are lovely and will be very sadly missed x

My now 11 year old daughter went to this pre school and when I had my second daughter it was a no brainier. The staff are brilliant and very helpful and always cheery. The place it self has loads to do is always clean and with lots Of different activities for the children to do. My daughter comes home every day telling me about what she has done or singing a new song and loves going. Xx

My little girl has attended play planet for just over a year, and I honestly can't fault it.

After doing an excessive amount of visits to pre schools on canvey, I finally decided on play planet and have never regretted my decision.

The staff went completely out of their way to help settle my very shy and clingy child, making the separation process easier for us both.

The care and attention they give to all the children is outstanding, and they take a great amount of interest in everything the children do in and out of pre school.

I love keeping up with all the new things my daughter is learning via tapestry, and it's a great way to communicate with the key person, although the staff are always available at the drop of a hat if you need to raise any issues.

My daughter is no longer the shy little girl she once was(I think some days she actually thinks she runs the place), and it's all down to the hard work and commitment of the staff. She is already getting emotional about having to leave to go to 'big school' in September, she will miss you all so much.

My daughter has just finished pre school after 2 years with Play Planet , she had a few hiccups here and there but I was always communicated with and helped along the way. All the staff are friendly and have fantastic relationships with all the children . My daughter was always happy to be there and looked forward to going to each session x

We will miss our weekly visits to Play Planet but have left with many happy memories x

My 2 year old goes two mornings a week and loves it and I love listening to her singing her nursery rhymes she's learnt or telling me bits from the story she has heard. She is coming on in leaps and bounds love the staff too. Xxx

Lovely nursery, my daughter Evie attends 4 sessions a week currently and she loves it! They do so much with the kids she is always coming home with things she's made and has made lots of friends in the short amount of time that she has been there, I would definitely recommend to anyone, all the staff are lovely, helpful and understanding! 5* all the way x

I have 4 children one of which is disabled, all of my children have attended playplanet from the age of 2 years. The care they have all received has been none other than exceptional. With regards to my disabled child, all the staff do go the extra mile to provide the best possible care and support for all of his needs in every aspect of the pre school, I have never once felt that he wasn’t included. The educational support they have had is also fantastic. Each of my children have enjoyed all their time, my older 2 children still refer to the teachers as their best!

The whole team are not only professional but caring and understanding.

Great pre-school, my daughter enjoyed 2 years here. Highly recommended x
